I think you might be able to pull this off. I circled where the tower is and Divvy has public bike racks listed west on Touhy. As long as you don't end the ride, I think it'll work.

One time my Uber was absolutely ripping down Irving Park and I mentioned the speed camera to try to slow him and he goes "oh it's past 11PM, no tickets now." Every one of them is a scofflaw.

I live right by Horner so I feel this deeply. Fuck me I guess.

You may not like it, but this is what peak transit looks like

It also pisses me off that it doesn't go all the way to Irving Park Road! A major thoroughfare! A critical park right there!

Nope! I should actually contact them about it instead of posting into the void

You can report these in the divvy app, Lyft has started issuing $25 fines for not locking up to an actual bike rack.

To me the worst experience is wherever the bike lanes and pedestrian lanes cross over, but especially at the totem pole near Addison. I feel like I'm going to be hit by a bike (I'm usually running there) because of poor design.

Security theatre to be sure.

I'd say maintained speed for a casual biker on a light enough bike is 12-15MPH. Definitely slower on an encumbered bike or something as heavy as a Citi/Divvy bike but that's an exception.

This area is a wasteland, it'd be so nice to have some housing so close to the L and to the Trader Joe's.

I fully agree with this, and would even recommend going a stop north or south opposite in your intended direction to make sure you can make it onto the train before the hordes (if a longer walk isn't a barrier).

Unfortunately you have to report it. It takes something like three individual reports to get anything done. the 311 app has a section. If the dog actually bit and caused the scratch, they advise you to file a police report 😵💫

I also just checked, same. This city deserves public transit that works.
