Exactly, I can't make sense of it personally. If I ever made a few million I'd promptly remove myself from the limelight and just enjoy a carefree existence. I'm not sure if I'll ever understand the impulse to cling to power indefinitely.

What would Hunter's likely punishment have been for the crimes he was convicted of? What's the upside in all of this for Hunter and Joe? It seems like Joe is doing great harm to his legacy, to the party and our trust in government. Was it worthwhile to pardon to avoid short jail time, and parole?

What if there's a woman on both sides of the ticket? Nikki Haley getting the republican nomination isn't unfathomable in 2028.
