Totally. Im hard favoring non-digital experiences currently. I would really love to escape the iPhone but I think right now that’s just not realistic (minimalistic devices are not great)

Well I can’t use it on my network so that limits that exploration.

One thing I’ve loved watching as my orange tabby gets older is how much the spots on his nose grow with age. Just a little observation

This isn’t true though. Truman, Clinton and Obama won all their elections with popular vote victories

This seems exceptionally foolish for corporations to resist. It’s an inevitability. If you have the means to be more productive why wouldn’t you be?

My favorite brand of your jokes well demonstrated right here

Who really knows. The truth is likely somewhere in the middle (which is what you’re saying I think)

I see what you’re saying. Though to be fair LA CMs are arguably the most powerful in the country and haven’t historically fared much better on the bribery front

Idk if this is true but I would imagine the counter argument would be that if something impacts more neighborhoods you empower consensus and mitigation oppositional power generally

For comparison New York is approx double the population size of Los Angeles but its city council is 3.4x larger.

One other point while I’m on this soap box,
Each of the five members of the West Hollywood City Council represents about 20k residents while each of the 14 members of LA city council represents 250k residents. LA needs reform. Weho shows what could be.

Another example. Weho has plenty of problems to solve- especially the cost of doing business and in the commercial real estate space but it is certainly demonstrating better housing policy

Totally. I’ve played lots of games like this and comebacks happen frequently and often when teams adjust their tactics.

Ok Fountain Pen fam. I have now spent over two months with both a Lamy Safari (I do not like it) and a Pilot Metropolitan (this is perfect, it feels amazing, I love it). If I were to upgrade from my PM, where do I go from here?

Some of the cost passing I understand (raw goods are expensive, tariffs etc) although I don’t appreciate it personally but wallets have limits and when you degrade value proposition while charging more you should expect a loss in consumers

The assumption customers aren’t frequenting your coffee shop because the wait is long may just be because your prices are too high, the perceived need for more “brand partnerships” instead of unlocking the deodorant at a big box retailer, or the removal of perks from loyalty programs as examples

Happy belated. You gave yourself the best gift of not centering this in your brain.
