One of my oldest memories as a child in Hanoi, was this one time a beggar asked us for food and cursed us when he saw what we were eating. Took 20 years for it to dawn on me that we were surviving on government rations. It's so weird that the US is now transitioning to a centrally planned economy.

The best way to describe this stock market is that it's boosted by cycles of fake news, straight out of the WH. E.g. Good luck getting China to agree to 80% tariff. And what does having a "deal" even mean if tariffs are still so high? Yesterday's trade deal with the UK was completely nonsensical.

Keir Starmer is so going to get burned for this trade "deal," going first and capitulating to the 10% tariff even though his country runs a trade surplus with the US. My thoughts on Tesla: Going into the earning call, we knew company performance was going to be awful so there were shorts and puts on the company. As EM announced that he was going to spend more time at Tesla, share price shot up and traders had to cover their positions, which fed on itself. 1/
