That's a pretty good tourism slogan right there!

Yeah, and a lot of pressure. You might have very different ideas of what constitutes a good time.

If I knew someone in a destination I was visiting, I might reach out and say "hey, what's good?" but I would not say "can you help me plan this trip"

And on top of all that, the construction zone was half a kilometre and two intersections away. That sign could have been placed literally anywhere else, and they put it in the worst spot imaginable.

A couple years ago I reported this to 311 and no one ever did anything about it. The sign made it hard to access the button in a busy crosswalk right by Citadel Hill, and it would have been nearly impossible for anyone in a wheelchair to press the button.

And this traffic jam is because of all these other jerks sitting alone in their SUVs and not me sitting alone in my SUV.

This kind of whining happens in the suburbs too. Two fourplexes are being built in the subdivision down the street and people are moaning about how that kind of density will make traffic worse.

The entire playoffs have been a delight. We had to endure a whole season of “What’s wrong with the NBA?” stories, and the playoffs have proved that the game is fine and the main thing wrong with the NBA is that the wrong people get paid to be loud and wrong on TV about what’s wrong with the NBA.

Every Tapper interview sounds so disingenuous because if he truly has regrets about not making a bigger story out of an aging president’s mental acuity, he should be asking those same questions of the man in office right now.

You could cut up and freeze some (or all) of the chicken and then you’ve got a head start next time you’re making a curry or a stir fry.

"Imagine the difference if even 20 per cent of people who drive solo at rush hour took the bus instead," I say, and people argue with me or tell me I'm dreaming while advocating for an eight-figure construction project that would tie up traffic for months while it was being built.

The Pistons won 50+ games 7 years in a row from 2001-02 to 2007-08. No one else but the Spurs and Mavericks have done that in the last 25 years. They were a consistently good team.

People seem to forget how close those Pistons came to repeating. They took the Spurs to 7 in 2005.
