I can't see the bit about CCFC - do I need to buy the book to get that bit?

Well, I'm wondering whether there might just be a racist dimension to the complaint.

It's what's NOT mentioned in this story that intrigues me.

Was there a suggestion in City of Death that Jesus might have been Scaroth?

It's a bit annoying they don't do that. A group of us were looking at buying a couple of season tickets between 5-6 of us but it is (or was) impossible to transfer between us

You'll note the tabloid platform. Confession: it's my background in my on-off time as a tiny cog in vast media machines. but this is a very good example of how tabloid journos can do it best, with economy and clarity.

Now worried I'm going to waste a whole day looking for it.

I think he talks in a bit more detail about it and how they've tended to ignore it.

Lanchester Polytechnic - named after the bloke who built the first British car.

I think that's exactly how ITV want you to react.

The ref did what young refs are trained to do: make a clear decision as early as possible rather than waiting and dithering.

I got a bit carried away when you asked for my evidence didn't I? Sorry!

It really feels like an album. All the songs, though very different,.seem to he set in this slightly dystopian, near-future London.

Yes - double A-side. My favourite track on the album

I would certainly rate the first LP ahead of CR

Singles aside, what are the highpoints of Combat Rock?

The range of styles and willingness to experiment. A band at the top of their game.

Do any of these places insist on other Biblical texts? Like the Beatitudes? Or when Jesus saved a woman from getting stoned? Or the Good Samaritan. I feel religion is being commandeered by the right.

Does some of that have to go to Brighton or do they get a separate clause?

Hi Julian, who would you recommend seeing? Who are you looking forward to?

On the subject of former players... Callum Wilson maybe?

It'll change if he's seen as a realistic contender and starts getting thorough scrutiny

Good point - they somehow manage to choose the one football ground that is also the name of another sport's ground - amateurs!

He's 'Football League World's Coventry Correspondent'. I think FLW try to find genuine fans of clubs to be their correspondents because they don't pay enough for someone to do it as a job. Mind you no amount of money would be enough for me to work as a correspondent for WBA, Leicester etc

That would imply that we also got relegated in the season we reached the cup final

Fun fact - A Tale of Two Cities like all his novels was serialised, but what a lot of people don’t know was that this one was done across two separate publications, each representing a different city. Isn’t that cool! It was the Bicester Times and the Worcester Times.

Up until now, the Lib Dems have had an easy ride. This could change if they are seen as a threat (either to Labour or even as the main challenger to Reform in 2029) and their policies come under scrutiny

Of four in our family, three worked in productive jobs different to their first degree. There's still something to be said for 'teaching' people to think and communicate.

2nd play off final in 3 years where Gus Hamer injury was (arguably) the deciding factor

What shocks me is the way he doesn't seem to mind - he volunteers it. It's like that form of 'casual' was so commonplace, no one objected. But, yes, the Mail's an odd one - good sports coverage in the 80s?
