That’s awesome! My first was a blast, despite IT Band issues flaring up at mile 20 (though tbf I’ve also only done 2 halves so far)
Got my 2nd lined up for December (CIM), plus working with a running coach to have some more focused training.

Is your goddamned web browser not already an everything app? I can do my online banking, book a flight, browse porn, read a book, and watch TV all in Chrome. What the fuck does an "everything app" mean if not that

I have lots of Thoughts about technology marketing (that led to a lot of the way Rust did things, and was borne out of… previous experiences) but the biggest one is: you gotta define yourself on your own terms rather than in opposition to something else

I love the “code review” test, that sounds like a fantastic way to see if the candidate will work well with the team.
Some of the best interviews I’ve been in have been doing stuff—like investigating a bug report—that’s important for the job and isn’t writing DS&A on a whiteboard.

I don't understand devoting so much time and effort and money to hating other people. There are so many better things that could be done with those resources.
Please be kind to your trans friends today, and every day. Today because they need it: every day because we all deserve it.

A couple I knew in high school combined their last names into a new one—using your example it would be something like “Brilley”, smooshing together the start of one name with the end of the other.

Can someone close to him just create a report where they call it a “commodities surplus” instead of a “trade deficit”?

Of course us "woke" people make society work better than the "unwoke"s. Actually being able to put oneself in the shoes of other people is kind of an important part of being good at things

FYI That’s not me (though we do share a first & last name) 😅
I’m a software engineer from California and definitely have no unique insights into Canadian politics 😀

While it's definitely happening, it's ridiculously short-sighted. Senior engineers don't sprout fully-formed from the head of Zeus. If companies aren't hiring and investing in early-career developers, soon enough there won't _be_ senior engineers to take those positions.
