The union is the current group of workers. What is good for one small group of people is quite possibly not good for e.g. young workers in that industry (who are a minority)/future workers (who don't get to vote)/the wider public.

Given that Trump engages in constant projection, there is obviously now a cover up of Trump's declining health and his EOs etc are being made in part by others. Can someone start the investigation?
comment in response to post
It depends on the union. I'm quite sure that for some, it would be worse. Monopolists (whether billionaires, doctor-groups, lawyers, unions, existing landlords or whatever) generally don't like it when their -lucrative for them but massively costly to the world at large- rent-seeking ends
comment in response to post
From a foreigner's perspective, a lot of US unions involved in construction /US ports etc. have created and maintain massive inefficiencies from which they personally profit They are definitely going to complain about improvements to the system that benefit the population, but end their rent seeking

Because taking 50 years to half build a high speed railway line and which costs 100 times more to do than in functional Western democracies is bad and you should feel bad about that?

Quite: if there were any before, UK state policy now strongly incentivises them not to be.

Well, the UK legal system incentives them to be sufficiently violent to cause public disorder. It's hard to do the opposite when the system wants you to create public disorder.

The fact he was assaulted seems to have been evidence that his conduct was "disorderly". Next time, to avoid conviction, he should ensure that he burns the sacred text of a group less likely to become physically violent if provoked.

Why run one in that case, If the costs of defeat are so high? (Literally measured in the tens of trillions- If not higher, given the loss of soft power)

There is no point in negotiating with someone who treats agreements like toiletpaper

One wonders if a Trump endorsement is a help or a hindrance. I guess most Poles disagree with Trump in relation to aiding Ukraine

The UK should send a group of free-speech advisors to the US to start lecturing them on their failures

The other Zootopia issue mildly hinted at but not followed through was that, without predation, all the prey animals were now "breeding like rabbits". I'd like to see a follow up in 20 years...

Strewth & fair dinkum! Let's put another shrimp on the trans-oceanic barbie, grill a jumbuck under the shade of a coolabah tree, smile & hand out some Vegemite sandwiches to our shared values!

".. It should show that it has listened to the arguments made by British leavers- by introducing mandatory education classes & specifically anti-propaganda education classes & laws- and starting negotiations by demanding the Brits do so in the UK"

Surely the EU wants "ever closer union", in which case giving the UK an overly generous deal is against the EU's long term interest?
comment in response to post
You say ".... since I've started campaigning..." - but was the level of sex prior to your campaign actually any better? Or are you taking credit for something which already happened? 🤔
comment in response to post
I assume that it can't be a case of "no EU money / no EU member state money": otherwise it's just the UK paying UK defence companies to make weapons to then donate those weapons to third parties, which wouldn't make much financial sense.

What about also banning: Builder's arses? Poor showering habits? Off-key singing? Poor dancing skills or kissing? Chewing with an open mouth?

The courts don't change the law, they just tell you what it says. As such, the law was the same last week as it is today. You may have incorrectly assumed what the law said last week - but now the court has corrected that

If they are unhappy that elites aren't sharing enough when the economy is booming & vast amounts of cash are gushing all over the place, I'm going to guess they'll be even less happy when there isn't so much cash gushing about.

You are the guy saying: sanctions don't matter (despite Russia repeatedly desperately requesting relief -most recently in relation to aviation parts); the guy who says every major war crimes investigation entity in world is "anglo-centric" & Russia having no evidence of its statements is unimportant
comment in response to post
Trump could ask if he wants- but if he doesn't want? "Despite me not wanting to, the US courts order me to ask you to return Garcia. Please note that I view it as a personal favour if you refuse & a personal attack if you comply. Choose wisely" "Yes Judge, I did ask - they said no"
comment in response to post
"why would they"? Why were they claiming Ukraine committed war crimes? To win support from low information people like you. They prove the falseness of the statements by the fact of no evidence. It would certainly help their moral justifications for war if not only they were vicious war criminals
comment in response to post
Russia had 8-9 years (2014-2022) to find any evidence of war crimes by Ukrainian soldiers. In all that time, they were unable to produce any evidence. Kinda paints a picture.
comment in response to post
"anglo-centric"?! It's literally a list of every international war crimes investigation body in the world! Now you prove you are just trolling
comment in response to post
It's not me making "unsourced claims", it's pretty much every single international war crimes investigative institution in the world making them: en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/War_cri... But I'm sure you know better
comment in response to post
We don't need to know the "full truth", we only need to know on the balance of probabilities or (for crimes), beyond reasonable doubt. I am certain even you will concede that your "doubts" are at the highest unreasonable - as such, we have more than enough to proceed to hold Russia responsible.

What war ended for blowing up children's hospitals? Yet the Russians do it anyway: they are both part of psychological warfare to sap the will to support the war effort of the general public.
comment in response to post
As regards rape being "weapon of war", if you really are unaware as opposed to feigning go ignorance, just Google the term and see how many academic papers/UN reports etc there are documenting & commenting on the use of rape in various conflicts.
comment in response to post
It's not "their own" conduct: it's reports from hospital personnel about the surgeries they need to do to pre pubescent girls to try to sew them back together.
comment in response to post
If you can't even admit that Russia is famed for (& takes pride in & to make up for its lack of personal discipline, relies upon) its barbarism, then honestly you really, really, really haven't ever paid or have been paying attention.
comment in response to post
That's the guy caught videoing raping babies who was jailed by Russia. Historically there was tens of thousands of reports of Russian rape-as-a-weapon including in the current war loads of hospital reports of young Ukrainian girls with their genitals literally torn apart because of Russians.
comment in response to post
.. himself raping a a few months old baby (even Russia has standards I guess).
