Walmart killed small town businesses, then in its quest for more margin forced it's suppliers to China. There are countless stories of companies driven to supply at low prices under the threat their products would be sent over to China to be copied. Fk Walmart

It had been my job since the early 2000's to move manufacturing to Asia for large name brands. The "walmarting" of America is complete. Americans love their cheap crap. Tada!

A US syringe manufacturer called out Chinese syringes for not following the spec. Most Chinese suppliers were and got off the FDA hold list. In 2024 Chinese syringes had a 50% tariff until Sept 2024 and it went to 100%. Now it's at 245%. I deal with this and other med devices all day long

Syringes from China are being tariffed at 245%. Biden put 100% on them in Sept 2024. As companies look at costs a $0.16 syringe sold at $0.37 is a good margin ibut now it costs $0.552 w/o margin!
