I agree. My point is that taxpayers should know that Canada right now is not brain-limited, it is funding-limited. Attracting other scientists is a great idea if we increase our research spendings. With the leading candidates seducing voters with tax cuts, I doubt this will happen.

Even with the current cuts in the US, the fraction of the GDP invested in science would probably remain higher than what it is in Canada. I'd wait a little longer before moving to Canada if this is the only reason. For all other reasons, probably a good idea already.
