If we're talking about birds being assholes, how about these two sitting on the wire. They built a nest the day after I hung the plant in this picture and hatched chicks so I couldn't water the thing for a week and a half.

I bought my house from a guy named Paul who, over the course of time I have learned, was a real shitty corner cutting flipper. I can think of only one project I have taken on that hasn't resulted in me muttering the words "Fucking Paul" at least once.

Ours did the same! I had to call the plumber to snake the drain and he came upstairs to tell me that he couldn't figure out where it went, but it wasn't the line to the street and was most likely just going to the yard. Said old houses sometimes do that. 1200 bucks to fix 😬

Adopted two dogs that destroyed my backyard. I have re-seeded twice, filled multiple holes they have dug, and frequently fill in bare spots as they pop up. I refuse to refer to professionals. I spend many mornings on my back porch with a coffee giving way too much of a shit about grass growth.

I'm not disagreeing with that statement. Just pointing out that the Midwest has been out here doing the wettest sandwiches you can imagine for quite some time.

This was a good read. It's interesting how fans have different relationships with albums. I love the sound of the early albums. I remember hearing Float On the first time, loving it and also recognizing it as an evolution that would likely make the band less appealing to me personally going forward.

When we took family vacations as a kid my mom would toss the atlas at one of us kids every time we hit the road, tell us where the destination was that day, and say "tell me how to get there." I loved that part of the trip.

Those early episodes were wild. Carlos Mencia, Dane Cook, Gallagher walking out on him. The show has certainly evolved.

I take pride in the fact that when I worked as a valet in undergrad and we worked spots where street parking was necessary they gave me all the giant cars to park. Fuck your Suburban. I'll park it.

Sports primarily, but also for stuff my kids are watching. Mostly to marvel at the awfulness of the YouTube content they consume, which I am conflicted about because my mom used to voice her opinions on how dumb some of the stuff I liked in my youth was and I promised I wouldn't do that to my kids.

He hasn't had a day off in a week. It may be more about giving him a break.
