This is why we should never debate the worth of another person We all have value just for being ourselves It’s not tied to our job, or health status or our economic contribution Saying that someone must prove they “matter” to get Medicaid is blatant eugenics Disabled people aren’t expendable!

Ah, the golden age.

Get used to living with your parents, forever…👇 Oh, and btw…they won’t have HEALTHCARE anymore, either. Happy NOW?!

Once a TV huckster, always a TV huckster. These aren't "audiences." They're people. The reason these folks didn't go on the exchanges in the first place is because they don't make enough money. Oh, and they're cutting the ACA subsidies too so even more people will lose insurance.

“I’m just going to say it, shame on any of us who throws a trans child under the bus for thinking they’re going to get elected. That child deserves our support. Don’t worry about the pollsters calling it distractions, because we need to be the party of human dignity.”

David Brooks, a conservative columnist speaks about the amount of people who have died directly as a result of cuts to USAID by Doge. Over 55,000 adults, 6,000 children just from AIDS. That’s a total of 300,000 who have died due to Doge’s cuts. It’s only been four months.

qualified immunity for government employees must end

Who else AGREES with Lee?! 🤚 Ban. Them. Again. 😎✨

#GVerse #ThisIsInsane: #Taco47 is so uninterested in doing his job, he's only received 14 Presidential Daily Briefings thus far, and Tulsi Gabbard is trying to make his briefings more like #FoxNews, coaxing him like a child. The President is cognitively unfit. via @reallyamerican1.bsky.social

EVs are one of our best tools to cut pollution from transportation — our #1 source from everyday activities. But Trump is freezing billions in EV charging funds. States and advocates are fighting back.

The FDA has an obligation to release critical safety information about outbreaks. This information is vital as the Trump Administration recklessly guts critical health programs, leaving our families vulnerable. The FDA must protect people, not companies.

Curtis Yarvin, now into public weeping and Ozempic flexing, jumps the shark in this New Yorker profile. Brutal. A pathetic figure. But Andreessen, Thiel & JD Vance are so thirsty for an openly anti-democracy voice, they have made a clown into a “philosopher.” www.newyorker.com/magazine/202...

Not all disabled people have family or friends who can take care of them. Charities are woefully ill equipped to provide the level of care many of us need. Being abandoned for being sick is common, and it’s not our fault. Disability is not & has never been a moral failing.

Glyphosate obsession is a tell that someone is anti-science. Glyphosate has never been demonstrated to have any clinical effects on humans, and acts on a metabolic pathway that is only present in plants. It is the best studied and safest herbicide that exists. It is less carcinogenic than caffeine.

RFK, Jr. : “Children who are vaccinated miss out on a lot of things in life.” Yeah, like measles, pertussis, diphtheria, tuberculosis, tetanus, and rubella. X

Not just higher ed. Small businesses and industry will be devastated as well. I have an SBIR app under review. Had to ask potential lab space if they could add a termination clause if the gov stopped paying. There's a lot of current and pending SBIRs with the same concerns.

A drug addict usurped congressional power, and unilaterally gutted US soft power. Members of the administration knew about, and were disturbed by, his drug use (WSJ). Isn’t this a cover-up?

I spent five weeks talking to federal workers about knowledge loss and brain drain across the federal government, and its implications, both right now and for decades to come. Their stories are frightening, but I think it's important to know what we're facing: www.motherjones.com/politics/202...

RFK Jr. is reportedly going to forbid government scientists from publishing in the world’s most respected medical journals — the Lancet, The New England Journal of Medicine, JAMA, etc. It’s going to take decades to repair the damage done by this administration.

Whoa: Federal judge in New Jersey rules that the law the Trump administration and Marco Rubio are invoking to imprison and attempt to deport Mahmoud Khalil is likely unconstitutionally vague under the First Amendment. Here's the 106-page opinion: storage.courtlistener.com/recap/gov.us...

The reason Apple manufactures in China is b/c of YEARS of investment in vocational training there. Any effort to bring these industries onshore STARTS WITH INVESTING IN OUR EDUCATIONAL SYSTEM. And it will take YEARS. It’s not about tiny hands (so stupid). Here’s Apple CEO Tim Cook

Over $13 billion has been awarded to private companies involved in immigration enforcement in the past 10 years, with a 50% increase recorded from January to May 2025. These companies are profiting off of fear and hate. I know there are other areas where that money can be better used. #ProudBlue

President Trump and his family are extorting billions of dollars from US companies and foreign nations. In new piece for @TheAtlantic I examine past US corruption - and conclude Trump can't be compared to anything American, only Russia or Africa. www.theatlantic.com/ideas/archiv...

If the GOP forces Medicaid cuts in final passage of their Big Bonanza for Billionaires, vital support systems that enable family caregivers to provide in-home care for elderly and disabled loved ones will be dismantled. It's just cruel. www.pbs.org/newshour/sho...

The Atlantic: Trump's administration is pushing a "deliberate destruction of education, science, and history," and it recalls the "Dark Ages" that followed the fall of the Roman Empire. #ProudBlue #TrumpIsUnfitForOffice #TrumpIsARussianAsset #TrumpIsANationalDisgrace

US administration openly intervened on behalf of the authoritarian populist candidate in the Polish presidential election

Tyler Hassen, a Texas oil executive from Elon Musk’s government efficiency team, has been given sweeping powers to overhaul the federal department that manages vast tracts of resource-rich public lands, but he hasn’t divested his energy investments ...

Sadly I did not know this for the first 55 years of my life. They do not teach you this. This is absolutely true. And we should honor all of them this Memorial Day and always

“The COIN-operated Presidency” 🤡 @nytimes.com @karaswisher.bsky.social www.nytimes.com/2025/05/27/u...

I do understand that Biden’s inner circle covered up his decline. Got it. What I don’t understand is the same journalists and pundits pounding that story are ignoring this psychopath like it’s normal. I accepted Biden was old all along. I can’t accept this lunatic leading us.

The more people who are denied care and left to die, the more profitable it is for health insurance companies. Your reminder that for-profit healthcare isn't healthcare. It's an exploitation of sick people and transfer of wealth from the working class to the mega-rich.

I know I’ve been harping a bit on this, but a journalistic institution that would defend a patently absurd and racist claim such as “Chinese women have small fingers” rather than simply admit error and correct is fundamentally unwell.

“No children are dying on my watch,” said Rubio. It's blatantly false. Credible estimates count 190K deaths so far. In Kenya, I am seeing devastating impact, incl this child's starvation & many deaths directly caused by Rubio’s actions. More in my @msnbc.com clip. www.instagram.com/atul.gawande...

While NIMBYism rules in some blue states, South Carolina has added 177,000 homes since 2020. This is a broader problem with national political implications if some of these Democratic states don't get over their NIMBYism. www.postandcourier.com/business/rea...

I swear I love Rep. Melanie Stansbury more every day🤩 She and House Dems are battling the GOP’s Reconciliation Wrecking Ball—*and* fighting to get BIG MONEY out of politics and BAN congressional stock trading. They’re holding the line on every damn front. Let’s back them up. 💙🔥

Busting up big corporations and tackling Wall Street’s greed. Getting big money out of politics.  Strengthening unions and fighting for higher wages. Medicare for all, paid family leave, universal childcare... This is the progressive populist agenda we need in America.

Utah spent two years and a thousand pages proving what any parent already knows children flourish with acceptance, wither with rejection. The evidence overwhelms, yet the politics remain unmoved. In America, we prefer our prejudices to our principles, our fears to our findings.

Corruption on a massive scale, all in plain sight. The GOP is too craven and greedy for its own tax breaks to call it out.
