Ottawa addiction recovery home worker. Father who is very, very concerned about his son's future in face of the climate crisis and Canada's complete oil and gas corruption. And occasional videogame, comicbook and Superman content, because, yeah...

Another reason to not waste money on the NYT. It's an immoral piece of shit in so many ways. inthesetimes.com/article/new-...

Poilievre is a liar, a loser and a horrible, horrible human being. And people don't like or support him. www.ctvnews.ca/video/2025/0...

Israel murders children. Poilievre and Postmedia still treat Israel as somehow an acceptable nation and ally... We need to get foreign mafia like Postmedia out of Canada. And we need to destroy the Israel lobby in the country. They have had a corrupting influence for decades.

I don't know why black cats are trending, but Ricky approves.

I played a good Steam game last week, Thalassa: Edge of the Abyss. Very moving mystery/exploration game set in the wreck of a ship at the beginning of the last century. I checked out the discussion and there was a sexist rant by an incel about the game being woke. These men are shit.

Robotaxis are another scam to pump the stock. They will likely be teleoperated. Which is a traditional taxi, only with lag and extra steps. Such a shit company...

Again, America's dominance in the 20th century was in part a scientific dominance. And, for all the posturing and decrying public spending, America funded a ton of research spending. That dominance will retreat and so will the incredible economic and public health benefits.

Ricky likes to sleep with his paws in the air. That makes me want to squish him.

I'm watching season three of Invincible. Of course, Conquest's voice is great. Every fan community seems to have toxic whiners who no one wants to listen to. You can really see this with Syder bros. "No one wants to hear our shit anymore." "We need to whine more." Then they will love Zach."

I'm not a Batman fan, but I'm aware of general discussion in the fandom. I can tell that Jason Todd is not the most popular Robin. But Jason Todd knew that rapists should bd thrown out of extremely high windows. I'll give him that.

ICYMI: Comics have been "political" ever since two Jewish teenagers invented Superman as a response to the rise of Hitler. So how are trans comic creators meeting the current fascist wave? I talked to a bunch of them to find out: xtramagazine.com/culture/how-...

Hate has killed another member of the LGBTQ community. For years, conservatives have harnessed hate to advance their other goals. The CPC party in Canada has embraced a base and members that are filled with bile, evil and hate. Danielle Smith, Moe and Poilievre know that their base is disgusting.

Happy Pride month. As someone who works in an addiction recovery home that aspires to be a safe and warm place for everyone who needs treatment, I can attest that bigotry is still thriving in Canada. Especially against the trans community. Conservatives picked a group to hate and people fell in line

American is never recovering from this. Fortunately, the Trump administration is also destroying the economy. This type of police action is expensive. Constant surveillance is expensive. The trillion dollar military is expensive. America won't be able to afford the tyranny.

Grant Morrison is one of my favourite comicbook writers. He will be writing a Batman/Deadpool crossover. I will not read it. I have read some of every Marvel/DC crossover going back to the 1970s. They were, mostly, absolute shit. Crossovers sell a lot of comics, but they are dreadful. #comics

Trump is devastating US cybersecurity. This must absolutely delight adversaries who want to be able to cripple the US and pillage protected information. Modern conservatives are, above all else, absolute nihilists. There is no pretense of good governance.

So much American dominance in the 20th century was based on having incredibly smart people from around the world come to study and work in the states. Also, despite pretending to oppose public spending, they funded a shitload of research.

I finished The Medium and it was a wonderful game. Just like The Observer was. If you like a strong and compelling narrative alongside your psychological horror, then I highly recommend Blooper Team. I have now moved on to their Blair Witch game, in which you search through an eerie forest.

I'm playing The Medium. It's a post-Soviet psychological horror with an extremely strong narrative. You explore abandoned Polish ruins and try to discover the source of an apparent massacre. At the same time, you traverse a paranormal world that interacts with the real one. It's fucking marvelous.
