I should watch his videos and take notes. I think the scene needs more watch partiers/people willing to break down gameplay and/or storylines to make it digestible

I know this isnt a sole signifier of genuine social change or growth, but Id rather someone who wants to get back actually give back in some way than to just put out a chatgpt apology disappear for a few months and come back but with a smaller circle of friends

This might sound silly but when people talk about actions I actually expect to see actions of giving back. Working with charity events, volunteering their time, donations if they can afford it. I want to see examples of community service by helping seed a tournament, running a stream etc

To a bigger extent, large events online or otherwise should cut registration days if not a week in advance. That way tourney staff have time to prep with seeding and prod/the community have time to build hype and storylines. Nothing confuses me more than registration ending an hour before

For the bigger events, it's more about just having the opportunity to plan for it on the player side. It's hard to build storylines without giving players time to commit in advance. Storylines cannot be built if you dont know who will be there. If they have the time to do that storylines will come

Providing analysis, make streams more engaging, and being personalities beyond the stream that theyre on. My fav casters are the ones that show their personality on and off stream and participate in other ways whether that's podcasts, journalism, skit comedy, or analysis work. Thats what I like

Thats true. I just feel like it's the one system that does it right on the whole. It should be the model for all solutions to add more competition to top level.

Is SendouQ not enough? I feel like it caters and satisfies the top level consistently. It runs over months, has an invitational, prizing, big spectacle, consistent scheduling. It's like the best thing we have.

I like this alot. I think those are some of the most important categories. Id also like to see a list of all of the SQ ranked events.

Ive been working on one with @v4p0r.bsky.social to see how far we get with it so I hope we can get it figured out soonish

Oh my god Ive been saying the same for months now. I agree that most of these issues would be fixed with this. I think this is why divs are so prevalent and why everyone cares about LUTI. It's because it's the closest thing to a community wide pr

Big tournaments just need to be more consistent in general with scheduling and communication, so competitors can feel more secure in when and what they're gonna compete in. Feels like everything gets worked on in the dark until a week or two before it starts.

Even without distinct teams are there players/coaches that are super storied? Like a player that no matter the team or pickup is just a dominant force? Or even two players that always fight for first?
