That is pretty awesome. I remember being convinced that this was such a great addition to the city that it would stay permanent as a kind of companion to the Canada Line. 2010: the age of innocence.

I did not know that. Under what circumstances were you allowed to drive it and I was not? 😢

Well, it's *Road House*, isn't it?

To me, this is pretty difficult to argue against. Although if it's officially proposed, I suspect a few will try.

Yeah, I was definitely thinking of delivery vehicles being the exception to the rule. But I think active tram line(s) and maybe an expanded ferry service (love those ferries!) would be awesome. I guess this would call for an overhaul of the whole area.

During the 2010 Olympics, we rode the (borrowed temporarily from, I want to say Belgium?)tram that went from Olympic Village to Granville Island. It just made sense. I remember hoping that it would spark a permanent solution.

I've always thought that Granville Island would make for a great pedestrian-only zone, myself. 🙂

"Shelley My Love" and "I Live on a Battlefield" are epic!

"Wrapped in Grey" by XTC. A favourite track from a favourite band. "Awaken, you dreamers Asleep at your desks Parrots and lemurs populate your unconscious grotesques ..."

We don't need a "Joe Rogan of the left," we need multiple Joes Rogan out there doing what Workwear Guy does: modeling informed, thoughtful decency. Modeling how to be a grown-up, how not to be an asshole. Modeling what it means to know what the F you're talking about.

I leave it for Fallout 4 and Jason Statham.

You see? I did not see that coming. You learn something new everyday around here.

Sometimes I just want to watch a few explosions and listen to stilted dialogue, you know?

You're not a shitty parent if you're worried about being a shitty parent.

"Strawberry Letter 23" by Shuggie Otis. The Brothers Johnson did a very good cover. But I love the original. That psychedelic outro could go on forever.

Think how Weird Al Yankovic feels. 😕

They're having a tiff, as if it wasn't expected and overdue. It doesn't really matter that much as they will both be fine while the damage they do between them won't be less grievous. But the internet loves a good dramatic scene between main characters, so here we are.

I think it depends on context. But I think "bud" is slightly safer (although that can also be dismissive: "sure thing there, bud ...")

Only when the government *isn't them*. That's always been the rule.

I've just finished reading the book BTW. The discography notes in the end are a hidden treasure.

I'm not an ECE expert, but my feeling is that it's that last one.

Well, that was a quarter century ago and I still remember it. Which is kind of gross.

Years ago(2000? 2001?), I was riding a bus and a guy was talking (loudly and angrily) with his lawyer about child support payments he objected to paying. It was *very ugly* as well as being a messy display of whatever the opposite of self-awareness is.

One of my favourite actors. It's hard to choose. I will choose *Out of Time* (2003), which is a great Southern film noir flick with a great cast.

Unless it is one's lawyer, it's not problematic necessarily (although it can be). I just don't understand the impulse to have drawn out conversations on the phone in public *that early*. If someone calls me at 7a.m., something better be on fire.
