I adjusted the pot inside the power supply so it's giving a solid 5.05v now. That wasn't the issue, apparently.

Hmm. +5v rail seems a little low. ~4.79 volts. That shouldn't be enough of a variance to make it fail like this, though, right?

Good to know. Luckily I have spares for all of those so the only pain will be desoldering those things. I still suck at that. Heh.

I swapped U326 anyway. U327 is next on the list. 325 and 328 both connect to the base 512k as well, though, and that's working but I suppose they might be only partially bad.

Already checked and rechecked all traces. Next step will be swapping out the 74S08N. If that doesn't work, I don't know where to go next.

When I was about 11 years old, I used Doodle on my Commodore 64 to make a crack intro screen for "Halley-7" which was my imaginary elite cracking group. Of course I had no actual skills and never actually cracked a game but the memory persists.
