this is very real and underdiscussed ! taking HRT automatically makes you unhealthy and high-risk for *anything* bad that happens to your health, in the eyes of many medical professionals. it's like refusing to treat a car victim with empathy because they happen to drink occasionally.

if the plantation was being kept as a museum dedicated to educating people on what life was like for the slaves forced to work there, then i might agree with the take that it's a shame to lose that piece of history. but instead it was a racism resort for ppl like this. no historical value to that

FWIW I know some people who think it is victim-blaming to criticize how anyone handles a government interrogation but I think it is important for people to understand that you are not only putting yourself at risk when you speak to LE. You are also potentially endangering your friends & comrades.
