Might amuse you to know that many years ago, I accidentally ended up around there after a night out near Elephant & Castle when my friend and I had intended to walk back to where we were staying (which was, I think, near Gloucester Road). We turned left instead of right after saying, "Let's walk!"

A true Milwaukee experience, initiated at @highburypub.bsky.social roughly 15 years ago. The aforementioned Peter (@pwilt1.bsky.social) would remember the actual date.

Justin, have you had the pleasure of a Schlabst? Milwaukee's tan & tan. Schlitz on the bottom. Pabst on the top. Otherwise it's the pitz. The beer for lovers because it always comes in a pair. An invention of local bon vivant @pwilt1.bsky.social.

Sounds like he's ... comforting. An unflappable, cool star. A comforting presence in a postseason full of chaos.
The Comforter.

Those were fun years. Reminds me of seeing Chris McIntosh set his beer down on TOP of the dart machine at Wando's. And of doing Goldschlager shots with Brooks Bollinger in there.

Rather similarly, went up to a guy at a film festival once, convinced I knew him. I was all casual and chatty, catching up. He was cool, but it became clear I didn't actually know him. Turned out he was the director of the film that was screening

This is smart. And it also aligns with the thought of all political narratives being national.

I used to bang on all the time on the old site about the need for Gene Wilder statues all over town representing his roles in his different films. I stand by this opinion.

Absolutely. Thank YOU. Again, really like seeing the local identity. It's BIG where we're from, so it's nice to see here.

Thank you. I’ve been curious about that. Ages ago I kept a spreadsheet with my notes and scores. Have thought about picking up the practice again.

The bar has been raised so high now. It’ll be awfully tough for other shows to meet the mark.

David Bowie did lots of different things, so he called himself an artist. It all came from the same place, he said. You want to tell David Bowie he’s wrong?
