But also on the case of terminal illness. One could say they gain an acceptance of their mortality, learn the value of life at a level not many others do. Every decision they make is definite. One could argue they’re the strongest of us. I I like my take better than the nihilist view you’re giving.

i think what I’m talking about is similar. I just meant how celebrities can make millions, become a new trend. It’s never enough once you’ve surpassed all your goals and do so over and over. I think people set their bars way too low. But a lot of them I feel could have the exact issue you do as well

Exactly. That’s how I look at hardships nowadays. You can’t let em break you when it comes down to it, but you can let them make you. No matter what it is, it will get better, not because it gets easier but because you get stronger.

Either from substance abuse or their outrageous lifestyle. I just mean they lose a lot of their feelings of accomplishment with all the excess.
