Senator, without section 230 Bluesky would be sued over every post that offends a rich person. Please reconsider this terrible idea

It’s amazing how many people want to decide that your views and follows must match theirs. I mean, by their own logic they should just unfollow you rather than whining

Thank you for this: it finally got it through my skull. Framing it as “client demands” makes the issue make perfect sense

It would be nice if our allies would react to this shitposting. Like, why have calls when you are treated like this?

I wish SuperDuper would take more of my money. I’ve been using it for what seems like forever, and gotten so much worth from it

It’s true. Tariffs paid for the Federal Government when there was little military, no Interstates, no Social Security, no Medicare, no Veterans Health care… All things we can live without if we want to live like it’s 1910

If there’s one thing spam has taught us it’s that people have trouble telling real vs imposter domains apart

I really appreciate Ohio State as a former band parent when my kid was at UCLA

I understand why they would work in stuff like AI. I’ll never understand why they shipped it

Surely they will argue that “subject to US jurisdiction” does not include people who are here unlawfully. I mean, I know that is legally incorrect, but if you’re looking for a way for weasels to be weasels…

Thank you. I thought it was goofy they did this, but now I’ve learned exactly why it is sensible

You might want to look up 1923 Berkeley Fire. The Oakland hills fire was not unprecedented.

This is about the legit distinction between a Motorcycle and a Moped. The former is regulated like a car and the latter like a bike. It’s about limiting the power of things in the bike lane and things that mix with pedestrians on some trails

That’s not a mid score. That’s a good score. The real cluelessness is thinking UCLA is a safety school and that a mere good score will get you in

So boring there have only been half a dozen successful Superman TV series which in total filmed somewhere between 20 and 40 seasons. Clearly no story to be had

I keep hoping someone will take my money for this

Besides being weird, it’s one of the four freedoms paintings. The freedom of speech illustration shows polite attention to dissent, which is not a maga value.

Same idiot called one of the Thailand cave rescuers a “pedo” on twitter and won the defamation suit

“Gross?” Is this about the lamb recipe again?

Article sure seems willing to accept this 4D chess explanation for the behavior of a well-known pigeon chess player

As email spammers have already shown, people can’t tell the difference between a real domain name and a fake one. The only thing the domain name does is make it a bit harder to fake, and allow smaller posters to self “verify”

Newest outlook is … fine?

After reading the replies here, I have a question. Do people know they don’t have to follow and reply to you?

I keep trying to figure out the actual effect of the proposed tariffs and it makes my head hurt. Inflation, unemployment, massive decrease in foreign investment. Complicated what happens from those primary effects. At least the tech bros will suffer

A great thing about having so many Indian neighbors is the lights come out a couple months early for Diwali

Congrats to the dipshits who added new levels without realizing they are intentionally labeled in Greek alphabetically order. Clearly these are geniuses who understand and respect Western Civilization

Thiel thinks monarchy would get rid of bureaucracy? That’s just embarrassing. I don’t read much, but even I know that’s exactly wrong according to actual history

Is deliberately causing mistrial a thing when a side thinks it is losing? Not asking about this specific case obviously.

Surely it goes to court to determine whether commercial launches are a military matter as the Air Force boldly contends or if SpaceX needs to obtain its own permit?

I get why dumping rando water is a terrible and illegal idea. But just so I understand, where the heck is the mercury coming from? Was it in the well water used to fill the system?

Seems to me this is a simple result of a decision in our Fed Circuit. Supremes hear it this year and it’ll either go away or become nationwide

The only weird semi-exception I can think of is that it’s really strange to me how often 80s music is played by the young.

I mean, it’s good for doctors to know which cultures are going to hide their pain instead of reporting it so it can be treated. But some of that there “modern” update makes me pretty uncomfortable

Things the fairness doctrine affected: TV and radio transmitted over the airwaves. Things it did not and could not legally affect: literally all modern media

Tapes of Nixon and Reagan? Did I fail to follow the news one year when this happened, or did he make that up from whole cloth?

Yes I believe citizens of the US are collectively responsible for the actions of our government.

I’m more concerned it shows a lack of effort and creativity. “Jack booted Nazi?” So overused. Kinda like how Boston is good, but a station that plays only “More Than A Feeling” on repeat would be horrifying

You know that was the last election, right?
