Someone is having a very bad birthday

Biden “White House officials & outside analysts touted job creation linked to IRA investments in GOP districts & states as a tangible benefit of the law that would make it politically impossible to overturn.” Yet here we are, with the GOP on the verge of killing virtually every element of the IRA.

I said it before & I’ll say it again, Biden team & climate ppl made little effort to focus IRA on Dem-voting areas, putting far more subsidies into electric cars than transit, promoting greenfield manufacturing rather than infill development… & Dem cities lost out, relatively, & now everyone will.

Can ‘Ohio’s Anthony Fauci’ Stage a Political Comeback? politico.com/news/magazin... Great feature by @lizskalka.bsky.social on Amy Acton, the politician whose campaign is inherently forcing voters to remember life during the early days of the pandemic

Jim McLaughlin, one of Trump’s top pollsters, said Republicans should nix the Senate's deeper Medicaid cuts in the megabill or risk deep backlash from voters.

NEW: We all know Mamdani’s social campaign was killer. Top political and media strategists say it’s because he departed from Democrats’ standard playbook, engaging directly with opponents and hammering concrete policy points. wapo.st/4laXIeE

GOP Sen. Thom Tillis says Trump's mega-bill is bad for North Carolina: "This will force the state to make painful decisions like eliminating Medicaid coverage for hundreds of thousands in the expansion population, and even reducing critical services for those in the traditional Medicaid population."

“I think we are churning behind closed doors to figure out which camp is going to win,” Sen. Elissa Slotkin said of the Democratic Party after Zohran Mamdani’s shock win in New York City’s mayoral primary this week.

“Deliberately misleading the country”: Sen. @vanhollen.senate.gov, who attended a classified briefing today on the U.S. strike against Iran, slams Trump for lack of clarity surrounding the fate of Iran’s nuclear stockpile.

The approach Trump took on Iran was not comprehensive or strategic, and that’s dangerous to the American people.   Here’s what you need to know about how the Trump administration is falling short.

Given what happened last time Tulsi Gabbard had to deal with intelligence that didn't suit Donald Trump's preferred storyline, her sudden announcement of new Iran intelligence doesn't come with much credibility.

America’s top Army commander in Europe said yesterday that he expects troop levels to hold steady on the continent, despite all Trump’s bluster. While the Donald has unleashed unrestrained MAGA at home, the international picture looks increasingly conventional. www.stripes.com/branches/arm...
