Been looking at #teaching jobs back in the UK because...I'm obviously insane. Stupid Mondays.

One of the best events I've been to in years! So much peace and love around mingled in with some fucking banging music with some of the angriest lyrics and intent.

Love ending an interview and thinking "shit ..I was unhinged!" I'm so out of practice!

Whaaaat?! Noooo. Who'd have thought that an endless merry-go-round of jobs would lead to less expertise. schoolsweek.co.uk/senior-civil...

International museum day tomorrow.. What are you going to see?

I like to think I'm pretty good at dealing with different opinions and views....bit Tel me you don't like De La Soul and you get right in the fucking bin

When you're reminded that one of your fave songs right now is a bit older than you remember.

Second day I followed a driver on the autovía who was clearly watching videos on YT or some soc. media. The inability for people to not touch their phone for 30 mins is concerning.

Many may remember a certain song called "Tubthumping" by Chumawamba. Now listen to... open.spotify.com/track/3OlXDh...

The webcam has not been working...found out why. Got to crack out the soldering iron today for the first time in ages. I have an old Kodak Brownie "box"...maybe I can mash 'em together.

I see there are reports of CS teacher shortages again from Schools Week and yet again it's all about pumping money into getting TF candidatas in the door. The thing is, even if they get some more teachers...the curriculum will be the same. The school work load and pressure will be the same.

This has popped back up, and boy did I need this bop right now! open.spotify.com/track/4tMyVq...

Yep...super distracted! Lost tack of time and still messing around with containers. Learning a lot, making mistakes and bodging things together

Very distracted as my mini pc arrived and instead of finishing my project I'm learning about proxmox.

So I finally got the graphics up and added in movement. Still got to fix the transparency issue but fairly happy. As this is a #42School project for a course and my time is running out I've had to revert to using a single tile for the walls.

Trying to complete my project as the deadline looks ever closer. We have to use the minilibx library and I hate it. So many memory issues popup, trying to filter mine from mlx ones. Think I've caught all mine now...but hate the stupid valgrind output every run !

Every time I see articles like this now, I know it's going to be balls. I get it, fire sticks are stupidly easy to set up. But if Sky thinks that by blocking side loading they'd stop piracy they're deluded. Maybe, just maybe there are other reasons for this, Sky? What could it be...?

Three hours of my day down the drain as I wasted it failing an exam. Yay.

I would be very happy to chat to fagash about the whole thing. More than happy to listen to his insights, the research he has done and all about his frontline experience. People like this know nothing, have no experience and nor do they actually want to find out.

"Get a grip" says a man voted into his job by the public. Fair enough the person asking the question may not have been one of his constituents but it was perfectly valid. The likelihood of voting Labour again should I return to the UK is looking slimmer.

Love r/Scotland over on Reddit, hope they don't clock I'm not from north of the border. Just hoping either my Spanish or a flash of the Irish passport will be enough to get by. Don't need them knowing I'm actually from across the border.

My husband has taught human reproduction and development to the Cambridge medics for over three decades. When people start banging on about "only two biological sexes" he starts with "which sex: genetic, hormonal, or gonadal"? Biological sex is not binary. www.scientificamerican.com/article/sex-...

Samantha, if you think that's bad, you should see some of the shit people say to me. And I'm not even an MP in the party that's enacted the first new anti-LGBT legislation since Thatcher.

All the screaming? Ok JD. Look, I get it. Having lots of messages, some probably in all caps, telling you how shit the party is, or how bad you are must suck hard. You'll get a lot of rubbish from people who don't care for you, your party or politics in general.

Was thinking about the school I used to work at and how many students were looking forward to moving on to study in the US. Looked at the stats from last year and noticed the number going to the US was down whilst Australia, and EU countries was up. Even the UK had a little bump.

Why the hell would I assume that comments on the FT would be possibly human. What an idiot!

Seem to have spent so long hearing people, and by people I mean mostly gammony morons, moaning about how they don't see themselves represented on TV. And now, for some reason, with Adolescence they seem pretty upset to see a show about a white kid, in a white family, from a regular town. Weird.

From what I can tell Nintendo are desperate to push users into piracy based on their recent announcements on prices and how they're monetising every single little thing.

Have been talking about a possible return to the UK with the OH and we were saying we really don't know what we'd do politically. Everything we see coming from the UK is awful and the more starmer and co talk the less likely I'll ever vote labour again.

I think everyone who has done any kind of computer anything knows that tapes are the best value cold storage, and that cloud storage is probably the worst and most expensive. You need to know how fucking stupid these people are. It isn't just a few things, it's everything

Word of the day is ‘quiddler’ (18th century): one who focuses on unimportant issues while avoiding the important ones, or who fiddles/plays golf while Rome burns.
