The article talks about how many SS are missing an opportunity to learn for future jobs...I can tell you now that the GCSEs and A levels really don't help there.
I have been considering a return to teaching in the UK, but the system just still feels broken.

Stop letting the iPad parent your kids then. Try having a conversation with them yourself.

Which overly restrictive laws are you referencing?
Or is this just imaginary?

I did have multiple textures for the corners and side walls etc. but the code was getting longer & I'm not in the mood to argue with evaluators over some unused resources. Once submitted maybe I'll come back and make the changes.

Which jobs and livelihoods? Because the party seems to have it in for a few corners of society.

But some of these 'shouting' were with you, were with your party. Have you ever wondered why these are so angry? When was the last time your party appeared welcoming, to want feedback, to actually talk and listen to the people?

Just found it interesting that there was a lot more variety in the choices and more students choosing non US universities. I wonder how students and families are thinking about uni now.

Ah I don't know, I was just tired and thinking via my keyboard. I think my anecdote is meaningless really. Was at a school in China where the students (or parents) had basically made the choice for international education and it was typical for the Ss to favour the US.

Thinking that this will probably change further.
I know that I wouldn't be suggesting students go to the US and would be happily helping them find courses and institutions elsewhere.

Informing them of what? That you don't understand how countries laws work? It sounds like you're justifying the US stuff because other countries don't stand for bullshit.
But other countries don't bang in about their constitutional right and right to freedom like USians.
It's not the same thing.

That kind of happens when you break the rules. I know it's hard for some USians to understand that rules also apply to them and that the laws of home do not just follow you around.
