For Millennials, aging is so trendy these days: www.wsj.com/arts-culture...

Maybe because I’m on the southern school calendar now where life really slows down in May and June, but I’ve really come to like the sports docket this time of year — college baseball/softball playoffs, WNBA, French Open, the good NBA playoff matchups. Good daytime/weekend content, low commitment.

The number of homes for sale (resale + new) is currently growing at its fastest pace since the GFC (as construction slumps):

If housing inventory is above 2019 levels can we say that mortgage rate lock-in is impacting the housing market? I’m not sure, need to think more about this.

If I learned that JP Morgan and Teddy Roosevelt had a shouting match I’d be amazed, but maybe from the standpoint of 2075 what happened today will seem pretty normal.

Housing inventory is surging in California: (h/t Lance Lambert)

Hopefully this scrambles all the posting/tribal energy in chaotic good ways.

Man is he gonna join Bluesky next or what

@sellingtheta.bsky.social If you and I escalated things I wonder what our Epstein/impeachment moment would be — saying LeBron would’ve only won 5 titles with the ‘90s Bulls? That Turturro in Rounders was mid?

I love how some people think that two famously thin-skinned, grudge-holding, insecure people have enough discipline to stage all this.

Someone should tell Trump that Elon would feel very owned if he fully funded USAID and the CDC.

A little more seriously, this is why CEO’s have kept their mouths shut with the tax bill still being in flux.

$TSLA -11%

Today is honestly the whole point of this website existing.

I’m so fucking here for this breakup

Genuinely have no idea what Musk’s next 1-2 years looks like now.

The new Holy Father has performed his first documented miracle

I worry that “lower nominal growth is fine” is how we sleepwalk into recession with interest rates that remain too high.

Anyway, $TSLA -8.7%.

This is exactly correct.

All of the big Dem fights at the moment are progressives vs a big tent Abundance coalition fighting about who should take over from the sclerotic gerontocracy. It’s all pretty blue state-centric. Maybe this is what has to happen first before North Carolina, Georgia, and Arizona can tap in.

S&P 500 capex forecasts are basically stable since Liberation Day, though they were increasing (more negative on this chart) heading into it:

This Odd Lots interview with Fulop is great. You can tell when a YIMBY really knows what they're talking about and can get in the weeds vs someone who just says build/zoning/build/zoning.
