'this historically oppressed group should totally have the same opportunities I have, so get pulling on those boot straps!'

The simple fact that we're having this conversation through this medium shows the value of science.

Preferably a link to the market place where they get the most money. I don't want to buy shit on amazon.

I've only watched the first two episodes of season 7. The first episode was amazing / brutal. Such a strong start.

With that said I wish you the best of luck - we need our society to heal.

I'm a progressive who works on the rigs (geologist). I have a no political discussion at work rule for my mental health. I have no idea how to bridge the gap. You're talking about reaching smart, but uneducated folks to have been brainwashed by right wing media and the algorithm for ~30+ years.

1. Fuck Hammas 2. Fuck Genocide. 3. Fuck Genocide apologists.

I work in the field in O&G, as a leftest the rhetoric is exhausting, but even if I was a centrist the rhetoric would be exhausting. I've taken the cowardly way out, no political discussions at work, it's not worth sacrificing my mental health.

I'll tell you what I think should happen on signal.

I'll bet a lot of money he's no longer with us. Dude is / was a CI for MS-13 and what we're seeing now is cover until they can get some shit story put together. I expect we'll hear he died of a medical emergency or something shortly.

I'm currently reading Omar El Akkad's latest book. Early on in the book he tells a story of when his Father was stopped at a checkpoint in Egypt. The young soldier asked for his papers, tore them up, and again asked for his papers. I bet we'll see this exact behaviour in the coming weeks.

We bough a hybrid last year, the longest warrantee was on the battery. This argument is such a non-starter.

I'm a progressive, I'll vote for ABC in a close riding, but if I lived in a safe liberal riding I'd vote NDP. This isn't America with a two party system.
comment in response to post
You need to look at your riding. In my riding the Liberal party has historically been a very distance 3rd. Not that it matters living in SK.

I would love to see the publishing houses take them to court.

Don’t let the haters get you down, if I have’s read / watched what you’re discussing I still turn in for the dystopia talk. It helps that I share your politics. If someone is a cyberpunk fan and doesn’t share our politics I have questions.

A community club shouldn't be holding a meeting that amounts to treason.

Rebuilding is going to be damn expensive with a tariff on lumber.

I agree the amount of junk I get in the mail is too high. But I also get legit cards / post cards from family, many of my clients send me cheques in the mail, and if you're in a rural area most of your packages are delivered via Canada post. They do provide a needed service.
comment in response to post
It's a service, not a business. I'm getting more and more packages than ever, as are most people.

A quick google search says the USA spent 238 billion on education and UHG had a profit of 22 billion in 2023. The money is there, we just need to stop the oligarchy and liquidate the billionaires.

I hope you’re right, but I’ll be very surprised if you are.

I agree with your assessment Rachel, however that this point I liken it to ripping off a bandaid. I can't see much changing the results of the next election over the next 9 months. Let the shit show start so it can be over sooner.

Next time someone says the owners take all the risk, this is a perfect article to link too.

I know more than a few people who deleted their Twitter accounts on the evening of the 5th. While I haven't spent much time here lots of people I know are saying the vibes are much better.

My colleges in the O&G industry believe this is in spite of JT, and we've be doing even better without him being in the way. I don't talk politics at work very often, banging my head into a wall is more productive and more fun.

We'll all be here when you're ready for us to read your next book John. Enjoy the surprises in life :)
