Is Marles an asset to the US or is he an US asset?

I tend to think that it was not a "it's too hot today to give a damn" vibe. I don't think it was a planned soft resistance but it was a soft resistance on a pretty big scale.

That's some of the crappiest marching I've seen since primary school.

There is far too strong an element of 'what happens on the bus stays on the bus' in Australian parliamentary politics. But what do you do with someone who is not only incompetent but malevolent? Morrison should have been arrested and a psych evaluation report submitted to the court.

"his leadership in Australia’s contribution to Aukus singled out for mention by the council overseeing the honours." Is there a serious commentator, outside of parliament, that thinks AUKUS will ever deliver a submarine to Australia?

Next Tuesday 10th June Victorian Socialists West will be holding a public forum on 'Bombing and starvation in Gaza: why is Labor still complicit?' - 6pm in the courtyard at Mamma Chen's in Footscray.

Quite a good Australian Story on Ange. There was an unspoken thread throughout that he does not play politics with the clubs or entities he coaches.

Have a look at today's Guardian headline about the case. "Erin Patterson tells court she has never had a ‘healthy relationship’ with food"

The ALP and the Liberals used to be the Holden and Ford of Australian politics. The only logical choice for the libs is to let the far right harvest votes for them but have a public face of tacking closely with Labor.

The ALP had a famous victory built on preferences. Good luck to them! I suspect though after voters preference 1 & 2 they sort of vaguely fill in the rest of the ballot until they get to a known party that has a shitty reputation like the Liberals. The same could happen to Labor.

Yep, if you drove a couple of kms in Melbourne on a summers night you had to use your windscreen wipers because of insects until at least the mid 1980s.

Maybe five years ago. I reckon they are now too far down the rabbit hole.

You need a vet on standby at the races and conservative party meetings.

Remember Tim Wilson and Jane Hume are Liberal "moderates".

My prediction of their first monstrosity being the opening of a new coal mine was clearly wrong.

I hate both of these reactionary parties but the nats demanding the libs adopt a slew of nat obsessions BUT any mat minister can vote against a shadow cabinet decision is quite frankly bullshit.

Yeah, but jobs - I'm being sarcastic. There are no jobs on planet oven.

She was in tears on election night when a Labor win was beyond doubt. Positively embarrasing
