It should be noted I have a very weird job.

Yeah, I was down in the dumps at the point. I was also living in Colorado Springs, which is a story for another day… Things were grim, until suddenly in 2006 they were not and then came Obama!

I ride the bus and max a lot, and the only times I’ve dealt with transit cops was on the Max in Lents and on the Hawthorne bridge when they stopped the bus.

Honestly, the only upsetting thing about this screenshot is the fact that you apparently don’t use night-mode.

Is there a comparison to 2005, after W defeated Kerry? I think the Rs controlled everything back in 2005 too.

The Red Hot Chili Peppers would be in that compilation!

Yeah, but that's assuming everything is good and maintained. Knowing what's within, I would never recommend taking that risk.

"Give me a break" - a response from a guy who decided to run for President many times and has the most powerful job in the world about a question about starting a war.

Buying a house with cash. I love American Foursquares, so likely something similar to that. I would have a professionally landscaped yard with a garden. There was this terrible move Untraceable filmed in Portland. That house she lived in was perfect! I lived near that house, I would own that.

In the first post I meant “tons of bad mayors” not a son. I’m having a bad night here and I’m trying my best.

Stop electing people who keep disgracing the name of my family’s town in Staten Island! Yeah, it’s that bad.

Also there’s a town in the five boroughs named after my family and I have a ton of people on the family tree in NYC for two centuries.

You could also go a week or two without hearing about the President. And when you did, it wasn't him screaming his head off about something.

I can recommend the rainforest hikes on Nevis!

They have no internal conflicts. They have a museum for the house that Alexander Hamilton was born in. It’s just a chill like country.

Yeah, I learned it with arguing with FNC-watching NYPD relatives. Different accents than your relatives, but otherwise a lot of similarities, I would guess.

Yeah, I’ve found this too. It’s the “wrestling a pig in the mud” kind of thing. You just feel dirty/awful after it, but they enjoyed every second of it.

Great job opening this item from the clamshell casing. Have a wonderful worse, plastic version of a papercut.

Why did I click the link????? This framing is right up front and it's so much worse than I was expecting.

I hate how coverage of things like this and other quackery is written like it's part of the style or cultural section. It needs to be announced like the attack of Pearl Harbor or 9/11.

Related: I'm a volunteer with Portland Neighborhood Emergency Teams, under PBEM. After the summer of 2020, they announced that we were not allowed to wear camo when deployed in emergencies because of the national guard wearing that, looking and acting very off-putting to the community.

The Oregon flag is so bad. All the state seals as a flag are bad, but the that yellow on that blue is so hard to read and looks awful. The city of Portland flag is great though!

Before those Tea Party protests FoxNews *heavily* promoted them and kept playing that clip of that guy ranting on the bank room floor. They really tried beforehand to amp them up. The No Kings didn't have that targeted promotion on the networks like that.

I watched pretty much all WWII documentaries on Netflix and a bunch of restored videos on YouTube.

Yeah, the King Soopers in Boulder and the Planned Parenthood in Colorado Springs. When I went to the PP in CS, it was in the previous, less secure location than the location it was shot up at. I lived in Durango for a bit too. A lot of gun nuts in the Western part of the state.

Someone had a great tweet back on the other site, about how they noticed the club was playing their favorite music, it had good lightings, fruit was reasonably priced.. oh wait, it was a grocery store.

I could waste my life away watching planes and helicopters in the sky on flight radar. Definitely do that when I'm bored at night at my parents' house.
