Guaranteed that the shooter's social media and offline activity will be far right. And the authorities will bury that data, while conservative media will try to spin it.

"Basically, they said: people don’t want more content, they want better content." Looking at you final season Game of Thrones.

Ironically, you only need to explain why to stupid people.

Years ago a popular doctor with a syndicated column said to "ejaculate regularly," not "have sex regularly." He knew exactly what he was saying.

"Why are there so many boomers at anti-Trump protests?" Because some of us have hated the motherfucker from day one, and can't stand how he's rolled back so many gains in those rights and causes.

Far too many of the major "name" HVAC companies have techs on commission when they sell a new system. So the techs seem to find a reason why the system needs to be replaced rather than repaired. Go figure. Find an independent person and have them take a look.

While going to school in the early nineties my wife noted that her tuition for a semester at San Jose state (in the seventies) was about the same as what my books cost for a single class. That comparison doesn't work anymore.

Steve Lehto, a lawyer with a channel on YouTube, has a great video about this issue. He also talks up the Institute for Justice, which is an underrated organization.

I post a news report on reddit a few minutes after it goes live, reddit deletes because it's a duplicate. Also reddit: The same report on a couple dozen subreddits showing up in my feed.

Fair enough. I wonder if junk emails could be better blocked if mail servers could actually be whitelisted. The same applies to spam calls/texts. It's possible for telecoms to set up a caller ID that can't be spoofed, but they won't do it because they get paid to route calls. The FCC does nothing.

The physical junk mail that I get suggests that cost to the sender may not help as much as we'd like.

Why are you posting pictures of Jeff Bezos and his fiance?

The reason that I was reluctant to leave Twitter is precisely that; being able to reach out to a company in a public forum and not on their official app.
