Over the Memorial Day weekend I was remembering my Grandson at two years of age singing Toby Keith’s song “Courtesy of the Red, White and Blue (The Angry American), and wishing that fervor of patriotism after 911 would resurface. When I saw this on the news this morning I felt a smile creep up.

I convinced them that they would be safe because there is a heavier police presence in the cities because the cities are their moneymakers. Two weeks ago a 14-year-old shot another 14-year-old in the face right outside of City Hall right next to the ice-skating rink and the Christmas market.
