A lot of very smart commentators -- specifically, older white men -- are obsessed with age to an annoying degree. If you like what a candidate stands for, just say so. I'm not mad at people who criticize Democrats. I'm not mad at people who criticized the last few Democratic presidential nominees. Criticize anyone you want; that's your right. I'm mad at people who couldn't bring themselves to make the obvious choice in 2016 and 2024. You had no excuse.

Trump starting new wars in his second term was just as obvious as Trump ramping up drone strikes in his first (yes, he ordered significantly more drone strikes in 4 years than Obama did in 8). Yet people on the left and right were willfully blind to this fact, even though we warned them.

I listened to the oral arguments in Skrmetti and let me tell you as someone with nearly 40 years in the law biz, former Solicitor General Prelogar made just about the most compelling case I've ever heard. The Tennessee statute is blatantly unconstitutional. But prejudice is impervious to logic.
