Another reason to avoid Target. Why does Target try so hard to piss off customers?

How much of a bribe did Resolution Copper pay to Trump?

My Mom had a Coney Island dog when she went to the New York World's Fair in 1939 and it was always her favorite. And it's my favorite too.

I have seen reported many times that Foxconn hires mostly young women from farming communities to build iPhones. Is that incorrect? I would have thought farm girls had fat fingers, but I dunno. I just work at a desk.

On Thursday, May 8, 2025, Trump slammed Biden's Digital Equity Act. He reportedly plans to end the grants that help veterans, older folks, disabled and rural folks access high-speed internet, calling it "RACIST and ILLEGAL."

Are you trying to tell me the kidnappers also told a fib?

Looks like someone doctored that photo, and not very well either. About on par with when someone extended a circle on a hurricane photo with a Sharpie.

Well, it makes sense that Thomas and Alito would dissent. Aren't those the two that openly take bribes?

I've never met a six year old that vile.

And if the US were to attack Canada, wouldn't the US also be required by treaty to repel the attack?

Yeah, I don't understand why every teacher in that school district doesn't put up the same posters in their classrooms. Are they all Nazis?

I can't even begin to imagine what monster would object to that poster.

Yeah, what's up with that? The article says it was shot on film, so why use AI at all?!

I have a huge photo library too. Assuming your photo library won't fit on the internal SSD, you'll need to buy a thunderbolt 5 SSD enclosure and a fast SSD big enough for your photos.

Holes (but maybe that's a cheat since Louis Sachar wrote both); Ordinary People; Forrest Gump.

Seems Mike Johnson is now just openly hostile to Jesus.

I wonder, maybe, if Barnes and Noble stocks their stores according to what sells.

Not mentioned in the story is that many of the DC folks involved had previously left Marvel because of Shooter. It's true that many good comics were produced when Weisinger ran Superman and later when Shooter ran Marvel -- but both men were despised by their peers.

I'm with Karen Pence. There are several other former presidents she can shake hands with. Why risk being grabbed by Trump?

It's weird to think you paid $5 for Dave Cockrum original art. I think of all the terrible comics from the 1990s, and how Dave would have been a so much better choice for artist.

It felt like a 1970s TV movie or maybe a 1930s drama. It wasn't awful, but it's completely unmemorable. Maybe he just wanted to make something minor and unpretentious?

Congress takes bribes, the Supreme Court takes bribes, the next president takes bribes. When my dad worked for the government, he made sure to never accept gifts, but I guess all that's out the window now, eh?

All of Robert McCloskey's books are great. Were some of them banned? I can't imagine why... I do remember the chapter of Homer Price or Centerburg Tales about Super-Duper -- whose costume was pretty much identical to Superman's. I suspect that would engender a lawsuit today.

These are fantastic, Scott. I was worried after seeing some of your Shazam! work that your skills had declined, but these pages look amazing.

If this is the America Rocky was fighting for in Rocky 4, I guess it didn't really matter whether he or Drago won.
