Unfortunately there are many complex programs (or even program suites) which people absolutely need for their job and which just don't run satisfactorily (if at all) with Wine, Proton or anything else.

Used SSD cost like 15€ for 256 GB.
(After installing a second drive internally, you may need to change "RAID" to "AHCI" in your BIOS and either readjust some settings in Windows or reinstall it. Be sure to have backups. )

You can begin by installing Linux on a persistent external drive, ideally an SSD. (You can also install it on a second internal drive if your computer has room for it.) That way, you can learn how to use it while keeping the option to run Windows on the same computer.

To make dual booting easy, you can get a second SSD (15€ for a used one) so as to have one dedicated drive for Linux and one for Windows.

You can test many Linux distributions in the browser: distrosea.com
Best for beginners: linuxmint.com/download_lmde.php
To begin, you can test it via a live USB stick or a virtual machine (VM), then install it on a second SSD and keep Windows. Guide for all options: itsfoss.com/install-linux-mint

Thoughts: Combine criticism of rich people's disproportionate climate impact with relatable accounts of how rising temperatures etc. affect everyday life.
Especially do this in the summer months, where people could be the most open to accepting "we really need to enact some new policies".

Make everyone do drama classes. It's literally impossible to chat gpt your way through a performance. The other departments just need to be as academic as we are.

4. So why the massive emphasis on food waste? Because it avoids confrontation with powerful economic interests. Everyone can agree that people should waste less. Intentionally or otherwise, it involves individuating blame for a systemic problem: a classic neoliberal gambit.

If you ever do need a printer, Brother printers have the best reputation in terms of Linux compatibility (HP may be next up). Afaik Brother is also the only brand where one can easily use ink/toner from third-parties to spare costs – at least until recently, so maybe look to get a used, older model.

Not sure, but if your username means you're living in or near Heidelberg in Germany, I'm hoping to arrange a Linux install party this month.
In general, you could also look for local Linux user groups wherever you live.

Besides Linux Mint LMDE, there's OpenSUSE, the one I've been using for a long time. If you like KDE as the desktop environment, OpenSUSE is a very good choice (though major updates/upgrades may not be as simple as with Mint).

If creative software is among the things you need, someone here just shared this handy chart for Adobe replacements.
Of course, it can still very well be the case that Windows is the better choice for you for the time being.

If you have an additional SSD, that would make dual booting pretty straightforward.
