Is it really unpopular? I thought it was fairly mainstream...though not universally agreed upon. In hindsight it was clearly the wrong decision.

Next you are going to write about Ruth Bader Ginsburg's determination to stay on the Supreme Court despite the Pancreatic Cancer because she alone knew the key to justice in America. Let's face it that great people held on too long and our Nation is on the brink as a result.

The economy was great on a macro level on January 19. It was tanked by choice in 100 says.

I assume they filed a criminal complaint. We will see if a Grand Jury will indict.

As another commentator remarked, Tradecraft is the word intelligence officers use to describe how to communicate in a clandestine fashion. We learned all about it at the FBI Academy.

Pilots often do carry pistols under a post 9/11 program.

Ok, there may be a 20-year Max sentence, but in my experience, it is very rare to get a judge to give that. A lot depends on the sentencing guidelines. A lot of judges go way under. I investigated and charged a guy who stole over $5 million from Augusta National...he got 1 year in prison.

I spent 3 months working and living in Oklahoma. Probably the worst State that I have spent a lot of time in. They are religiously Republican despite being bottom 5 in education and wealth. Meth filled towns big and small. Losers. But hey don't vote for Democrats....

I do have a caveat on further review. It is not 100% clear that your guest was an actual agent. Intel analysts can be section chiefs but are not sworn 1811 law enforcement and would not qualify for the special retirement after 20 years.

Yes, almost no one ever quits at that point in their career. The FBI has a historically extremely high job retention rate. If people leave, it is usually within the first 5 years.

Leaving the FBI after 17 years is really making a statement because you need 20 to get your 1811 pension, which includes generous health care benefits. Most people stick it out at that point. I left as well in anticipation of what was to come, but I was already vested.

Well she had jobs as a US Congressperson and as Governor. Those incomes are public knowledge and were comparable to mine. I was hinting that the 30k watch may have come from lobbyists etc.

Hey, I've had a comparable salary as Kristi the last 10 years. How does she have a $30,000 watch and I have had a Timex Ironman?

1) gun should be pointed straight down between feet or straight up in the air 2) is she a sworn 1811 Federal agent? Why does she have an assault rifle? Has she passed the qualification to carry that weapon? She is an observer in these matters.

When I was an FBI agent, we could not access IRS tax data without an Ex Parte Court Order, said data needed to be stored behind two locks, and improper disclosure could lead to jail time...so yes this recent behavior is highly irregular.

If she wins the primary, I will support her. I believe America needs a woman President, but more importantly, I don't think America wants a woman President, so I won't back her in the primary. We can't have another 4 years of GOP incompetence after this term ends.

I worked in the Justice Department for 22 years. Lying to an opposing party's attorney was forbidden. Lying to a Court was unthinkable. Plus you know, the Rules of Ethics thingy.

While not a fan of what has been going on, particularly as a retired rule of law FBI agent, but a magistrate judge still needed to approve a search warrant which would have required the judge to find probable cause that a crime had been committed and that evidence of that crime was in the home.

I never voted for a Democrat because I wanted Republicans to suffer. I voted for Democrats to make life better for everyone (except maybe Billionaires, and even then, their lives are always good).

Yes, the error of interpretation was mine. I thought you were saying you witnessed people being frequently dragged out of the plane lav half naked, which I thought was ridiculous based on my experience. Apologies.

At this point, I am not automatically going to jump on conspiracy theories, but I know as a fact that the FBI has expended incredible resources when an AUSA was murdered to attempt to find his killer. So we shall see what the initial reports are.

When I was an FBI agent, we never housed people more than a few hours, but it was of upmost importance to treat our prisoners with dignity (in part, because if you wanted them to flip, giving them honey, rather than vinegar, was much more effective), plus we had to adhere to the Constitution....

Sam Stein is with the Bulwark, a media/advocacy group that has been highly critical of the administration. They are not our elected leaders. Our elected leaders need to get better at politics and messaging or get out of the way.

Just as a point of interest, burning a Tesla dealership constitutes the Federal Crime of Arson. I am not aware of any Federal Crime related to vandalism of a Tesla dealership (not an endorsement of vandalism).

I'm not saying that you are terrible... only this one take. Neville Chamberlain explained his position to the public and history deemed it terrible. Acquiscence to authoritarians only leads to more losses.
