So this guy is going to be famous. Every MBA course on the planet will be using this as a case study for how NOT to apply LLMs to government problems. Might as well used a random number generator to pick

Dragon is the only way NASA can get people and supplies to the space station. It has been very successful.

Yep. It’s to late now they have missed their window of opportunity. Chinese comp is going to kill them. Their products are to stale and no innovation is in the pipeline. Robots and robotaxis are not big markets that are needed to save them. If they are even real products.

He’s going to learn all about it real soon! Seriously does he not ever watch the news or read a paper or visit Florida? WTH

Pretty sure the answer is going to be no. Unless it’s a 20 meter high wall and the coral is perfectly sealed.

Don’t be deceived by the apparent simplicity of the algo. They are not the algo. They are the combination of the algo and all the world’s data. An awful lot of work has gone into that data artefact over the years. There is massive opportunity in precessing that and brining it together in new ways.

But I wouldn’t be to dismissive of the current systems. Firstly they are still improving fast and no one knows were that will lead. Secondly people, in particular in the US, seem to be underestimating the potential economic impact. This sort of disruptive change in the past has led to major problems

So the chance’s of scenarios in the paper coming to pass are very very very very very low. There is no evidence of anything like sentience in these machines in the way a human would understand anyway. But…..

In Donetsk they have gone 10-20km in a year and lost half a million casualties. Not exactly rapid progress. Putin is burning cash and burning through his people. He really needs the Trump admin to swing it his way.

A new video!! Cannot wait. I was on your YouTube channel just last week making sure I hadn’t missed one. Looking at your video timeline makes me appreciate just how short the time we have on this planet is!
You do you. We are waiting patiently.

PEARL HARBOUR!! How did that get in there. Surely something at sea is needed. Something with John Mills.

It’s not a bad job. But you need Physics or Chemistry degrees preferably focused on semiconductor physics.
comment in response to

And for these jobs you would need a degree in Physics or Chemistry as a base.

Less than 1% because the first thing you need to do is knock the building down and clear the site. -10% to your factory.
comment in response to

LOL. Just not going to happen. You need to put the machines on special foundations dug 10’s of meters into the bed rock. You need to be able to move machines into place in the building that are 10s of meters in a side. It needs to be 100x cleaner than an operating theatre. Crazy suggestion.

WTF America. How is anyone supposed to tell who the law enforcement officers are and that they are real. No uniforms. Faces covered. Sunglasses etc. You’re turning into a police state.

No. Computer science is a thing that didn’t really exist 70 years ago. Semiconductor physics wasn’t really a thing 70 years ago. Battery chemistry has come on leaps and bounds. The materials science behind modern products. Etc. There is a lot of basic science here that underpins the engineering.

Really really accurate and compact atomic clocks? Some physics in that. Nano scale semi conductor devices manufactured in mass volume at low cost? Liquid crystal displays? Lithium Ion batteries and all the relevant chemistry. The whole field of computer science has developed in the last 70 years.

Google search has been using AI techniques for a decade. ChatGPT just gives better summary responses than Google does. Googles responses are driven by the business model and the need for advertising funds. Open AI doesn’t have that issue. Who cares what it “Knows”. Pay you money take your choice.
