A friend of mine was arguing that money (in the form of bonuses) motivates the workforce. My argument was that money is a "demotivator".
You can't make people, working at 100%, work harder by giving them more money. But try taking money away from them and you'll soon see how demotivation works.

7. God is real, but he only exists in people's heads. A very dangerous delusion that has no redeeming features.

Anything <100,000 = 20% inc tax.
100K - 200K = 25%
200K - 300K = 30%
300K - 400K = 40%
etc.
Until anything >1M = 100% tax.
Nationalise the City of London - shut down offshore tax havens.
100% inheritance tax on everything >1BN
Renationalise all Thatcher's sell offs.

The donkey is non-white and probably the only authentic one in the whole scene.
Camels may have been in and around Judea at the time, but they certainly wouldn't have been transporting three fictional kings. As for the sheep, what are they supposed to graze on?

It's so we can show the world how much cleverer we are than the dumb animals.
Could you imagine the chaos that would reign if we let beavers or wolves manage our magnificent man-made ecosystems?

That is, of course, a 2 match ban followed by a stoning to death for the blasphemy.

It would appear that most of the crimes listed in Leviticus are punishable by death, including arguing with your parents. I would suggest that is a bit harsh for Mark Guehi, perhaps a 2 match ban might be more appropriate?

"A double woke burger with a portion of fries, to go, please."
"Would you like a dollop of bigotry with that?"
"No thanks, I don't want to choke on the hypocrisy."

It's weird. In England, college sports teams are lucky to play in front of two men and a dog.

"The present state of civilization is as odious as it is unjust. It is the opposite of what it should be, and it is necessary that a revolution should be made in it..."

"Civilization, therefore, or that which is so-called, has operated two ways: to make one part of society more affluent, and the other more wretched, than would have been the lot of either in a natural state."

Are they on BBC Sounds? If so, have you got a link, or failing that, what is the title of radio show?

"A long habit of not thinking a thing wrong, gives it a superficial appearance of being right, and raises at first a formidable outcry in defense of custom. But the tumult soon subsides. Time makes more converts than reason."

Looks like no agreement at Cop29. The rich countries are abdicating their responsibility to the nations they have exploited and ravished to get their hands on their resources. And now we're abandoning them.
That's what you get if you vote for a capitalist/neoliberal govt.
We're all to blame!

Isn't it time to put a stop to this gas guzzling toy for the rich and richer?
The whole sport boils down to what happens in the pits. You'd all be better off nipping down to QuikFit and watching them change tyres

I thought he was the bloke who wears silly socks and knocks on the door to Parliament with a big stick.
We'll, fancy him being all evil and stuff.
Still, my mum always did say don't trust a man in a wig - they've got something to hide.

I'm a staunch anti-royalist, but I fear the alternative even more. OK, having a Queen Camilla is pretty obscene, but could you imagine the horror of a President Blair? Or even worse, Emporor Farage!

I'd like to know how I can get more involved. I'm particularly interested in nature issues, rewilding, corporate greed and redistribution of wealth. In fact, I'm writing a book about them. #bringbackthewolf

It's all about the money. If you notice, the perpetrators of war are never the ones who die in it. But they and their mates do make money from it.

National Parks should be allowed to rewild. The eco-tourism income it would generate would more than make up for the losses. They don't need to be managed, they need to be unmanaged. #bringbackthewolf
