But this isnât because the batteries last X or Y amount of time and then go kaput. Thatâs what all batteries doâ theyâre consumable.
Itâs because theyâre not user replaceable.

There is a lot of misattribution to planned obsolescence in this thread so I thought maybe adding a good example of TRUE planned obsolescence could be useful.
iPhone and Mac batteries (prior to the last year or two) are a great example of planned obsolescence.

No, it gets worse by new software not being optimized for the old hardware anymore. But thatâs not planned obsolescence, thatâs just a business deciding not to do a thing which theyâre not required to do đ¤ˇââď¸
