Is there any indication the wife might be listed as the President/CEO in order to take advantage of bidding processes which encourage woman- and minority-owned businesses?

It did look like the "Revolutionary War" troops were marching properly. Maybe that was a warning, too.

Why should we care? If they don't pay attention to peaceful protests, those *are* the historical next step.

Even more embarrassing than dropping multiple jets off an aircraft carrier.

just please remember, whatever the news says about LA after this, that this is *always* how it goes. Everything is extremely calm until the police actively escalate for no reason. It was true during all the BLM protests and it’s true now.

I went to a Catholic high school. We once had to explain to the nuns in a roundabout sort of way why Leonard Cohen's "Sisters of Mercy" wasn't a good choice for Mass. Clearly we liked our teachers more than *anyone* likes Shitler.

We had cops. The ones I saw were just making sure the marchers could cross streets safely.

I almost put that on a sign, but decided it would be too niche for the crowd. Near the end of the rally had a chat with someone about WorldCon. 😏

A not-so-fun chant (adapted from my college days protesting the Vietnam War): Trump. Musk. Hey hey hey. How many kids did you kill today?

I bought a huge art portfolio to carry my signs and supplies: post, foamboard, posterboard, markers, velcro, etc. I gave away a lot of my spares at one of the Tesla protests when a lot of new folks arrived without sign, so I'm rebuilding my stash. I use velcro to swap signs out on the foamboard.

I've been thinking about protest songs in preparation for No Kings. One of my favorites is this arrangement of Bread and Roses from the 2014 movie Pride (which is also one of my favorite movies). www.youtube.com/watch?v=D6hI...

After the ICE officer says that to the attorney, she responds in shock, asking him what he means. In response, he LAUGHS, then he repeats himself one more time: "I'll take one, or I'll take all."
