Interesting! Daggerheart offers a very different experience, and it challenges players in a very different way than AD&D. Both have their merits and maybe the biggest disappointment would be playing daggerheart with a AD&D mindset

Hmm lemme guess… are annie and joe the newcomers?

Oh Mappa Mundi and Tales From the Spectral Sea look interesting! As much as I maintain backlogs myself of books and games and recipes, I'm a believer in following what calls out to me in the moment, so I'm sure you can't go wrong with whatever you want to play!

Well, I have 2 copies already, so I'm biased... But also, what's the competition here? What are some of the games you own but haven't played?

Is it the tactical combat that you find similar to lancer, or something else?

So happy to see you're playing Daggerheart, too! ...and just a little worried that you're carrying around that dagger along with your sword.

This. I post whatever comes to mind exactly when it happens Does “whenever my brain thinks of something that someone may find funny” count as a valid content schedule?

In this grim campaign frame, did you ever feel like you had gone too far, too brutal, too unfair, in your design or rules? How did you balance dark while still being fun?
comment in response to post
I like it a lot! It’s the right balance of crunch and rules light that I have found it easier for players to approach and be creative in without spending too much time adjudicating rulings

What an incredible season. You all nailed it with the mix of heart, levity, and drama in a very concise format. Kudos for easily one of the best actual plays out there! Looking forward to whatever you do next. Assuming there is more (unlike Firefly) and you don't blow it (like Heroes)

Did the campaign frames help you to find specific genres to hook into? Those are supposed to make it all less generic

The art for the entire Daggerheart book is incredible. Thank you for your direction in putting it all together!

The art for this book is incredible. Genuinely have never been so excited to just look at a rulebook before. Thank you for all of your work on daggerheart!

Might be less painful than stepping on them. Which I have already done about 3 times

Thank you for creating this incredible game! I’m looking forward to trying out witherwild and shadow of the drylands Do you have your fingerprints on anything else that you’re particularly excited about?

Thank you for creating this wonderful game! I started with the sablewood messengers, and I’m sure your contributions will be shaping my games for years to come!

Will you be unboxing on stream today if it arrives?

@iaburns.bsky.social typically how much do you pare down in editing? 10%? 50%? How many gems like this does the listening audience miss?

Excited to see a new daggerheart actual play!

Watch out for its magical attack, Baja blast!

@joediametti.bsky.social the timing on your nephanie (sp?) confrontation

I’m hoping to take another stab at chase countdowns. I tried it in-game and I clearly was missing something. Curious if they tweak the rules or if I just need to “get it”

Can't wait! I preemptively haven't started reading a new book so I don't have to stop when the rulebook drops!

After that cliffhanger last time? I can't wait!

Uh oh, did I steal that example from Kapi? That was unintentional, but let’s call it inspiration from the greats!
