There are only three political positions in America today 1) I like the fascism 2) I'll acquiesce to the fascism (reasons for this one vary: cowardice, access, denial, misguidedly thinking that acquiescence is savvy, etc) 3) I oppose the fascism The rest is details

Spot on. This is the clearest explanation I’ve seen. It ‘s relatable, and humanizes the issue in a way everyone can understand.

1/ If Justice Barrett thinks we need to go back to what the Founding Fathers intended, I’ve got news for her. Their biggest concern was avoiding tyranny. So they created 3 branches of gov’t & divvied up the power the people (that’s us) were allowing the gov’t to use to create order for all of us.

Why lie about the most basic things. Anyone who drives knows that gas prices are not 1.98 and have not been so in years. I live in MA so about the middle of the road for the country. If you cant tell the truth about gas, clearly you can’t tell truth about the really important things. Facts matter!

Via "One First," my longer take on #SCOTUS's ruling in the birthright citizenship cases. TL;DR: The short-term significance may well be blunted by the answers to two procedural Qs the Court didn't address. It's the broader implication (the death of the legal process school) that's especially grim:

I really appreciate Chris’s detailed summaries on these decisions.

MUST WATCH: Oceanside CA: Militarized DHS (HSI) smashed windows, assault rifles drawn, tossed flashbangs and sent drones into the apartment which had 2 kids inside. They then told neighbors they were going to use tear gas, and they’d probably be exposed. Please share widely. WTF

A lesson in why investments in the tools of America’s soft power, matter. The heritage foundation and project 2025 know so little.

When Republican voters learn how much the "Big Beautiful Bill" redistributes from poor to rich, they become much less likely to want to re-elect their incumbent senators...

We were so fortunate to have such a good and decent man as our president.

Eager to soothe Trump’s wounded ego, the Supreme Court ended nationwide injunctions today. Trump is crowing, but this just means we’ll take our smashing wins in 4 district courts and turn them into wins in 94 district courts. People born here are citizens, period.

BREAKING: In response to today's Supreme Court ruling, we filed a nationwide class-action lawsuit against the Trump administration’s executive order restricting birthright citizenship. Birthright citizenship makes our country strong and dynamic. We are using every tool in our toolkit to defend it.

Just the right response to today’s outrageous Supreme Court decision letting Trump strip Americans of their birthright citizenship ⬇️

Pack the Court. If we are serious about the defense of these rights, we pack the Court. Simple as that. They pack it back, we pack it again. We do it until we reach consensus on long-term reforms to the judiciary. I don't know what it's going to take for people to get it.

NEW VIDEO: One of the most egregious abuses of power and attacks on the federal judiciary is taking place in Maryland and it is not getting the urgent attention it deserves. In a normal time this would be a national scandal. Paige and I discuss. www.youtube.com/watch?v=BqrO...

So he actively opened the door and let them attack us. WTF. Who does this and openly talks about it.

Everyone is focusing on Bove’s “f*** you” comment but not enough attention being given to the other bombshell in the WB, which is the premeditated violation of the Mass. district court injunction and subsequent cover up, the same injunction which SCOTUS stayed on Monday 1/

If one uses “I can’t recall” more than once in a day, shouldn’t that be a sign that they are 1) lying 2) have memory issues and would therefore not be a suitable candidate and should seek medical attention. Bove is clearly a liar. He probably should seek medical / mental help too.

New in PN: States can step into the breach "Given that Trump administration officials are giving license to mass criminality among federal law enforcement officers, there may be only one remaining avenue for bringing such criminal cops to justice: State prosecutions."

DOJ is suing MN over its policy of offering in-state tuition regardless of immigration status, following suits in TX & KY. MN is one of 27 states plus DC that provide in-state tuition for unauthorized immigrant students.* www.higheredimmigrationportal.org/states/tuiti...

I know for certainty, without the need for add’l intelligence, that the following have been obliterated. We might have to wait 3.5 years for them to be rebuilt - the good faith of the US govt - the sanity of the current admin. - the role of Congress - respect for the 1st amendment - + more

Who runs the US office of Propaganda as it sure seems like there is one. Highly coordinated, politicized messaging.

Simply shocking how politics can kill the legitimacy of US intelligence, all within 5 months. I wish republicans understood what long term damage they are doing to our country and standing in the world.

Wired continues to rise to the moment.

I don’t understand the psychology of working poor/lower middle class republican voters. Don’t you want representatives fighting for you. Owning the libs and tax breaks for the rich do not feed families. How do phrases “they will get over it” and “we are all going to die” resonate with these voters?

Pause for a moment to process this; ICE is arresting literally 1,100% more immigrants with no criminal records than in his first term.

If everyone rolls in masses, ICE can’t do shit. We gotta grow the numbers. Grow the opposition.

I am on Erez Reuveni's whistleblower complaint, first reported by the NYT, which I also obtained. An alarming, important development on several fronts, it is important in the context of DOJ's leadership and SCOTUS's treatment of the admin, in addition to Bove's judicial nomination. More to come:

The Bove allegations should be treated as something akin to Watergate, or Iran Contra. The administration was attempting to do something they *knew* was illegal (anticipating the courts saying as much), and then trying to COVER IT UP. Only here instead of it being run out of the WH or NSC, it’s DOJ

We need to start pushing back—legally If they’re masked, unmarked, and flashing Amazon gear, report it for what it is: an attempted kidnapping by law enforcement impersonators. 🎥 Record. 📍 Share location. 📞 Call the police. “ICE vest” is not an ID.

A few random thoughts for today - where are the trade deals? Was Iran bombing a distraction? - is MAGA that dumb that they just move on to next thing? - do G7 and NATO have pre-meetings without Trump? - Are the majority of SCOTUS justices really Catholic? Maybe they need to meet the pope!

Breaking NYT: A senior Justice Department official, Emil Bove III, told subordinates he was willing to ignore court orders in order to fulfill Trump's deportation campaign, according to a whistleblower complaint by a department lawyer who has since been fired. www.nytimes.com/2025/06/24/u...
