Happy Curbside Giveaway Day, Halifax! In front of 960 Barrington Street: a shelf for holding 200 games, CDs, or movies. There are about 80 titles on it for the taking! (Anything you see that you like, I agree it’s a classic; anything that looks sketchy, I only played it ironically.)

I'm not going to say WD-40 is bad, but I think I've been oversold on its home uses... when it came to rescuing some leather gloves that got turned into rawhide in Quebec, it was the mineral oil I have in the kitchen that saved my Privateer outfit! (What can I say? I like those gloves.)

1) This is a cool idea for a Nocturne project 2) The theme this year, “ground”, is delightful. So many possibilities! 3) The Wanderers can’t take credit for it, but it’s nice to see this park re-established in the public eye.

I’m glad I’m getting rid of stuff in preparation for the move next month (just across the bridge, I’m not leaving), but I’m starting to think I dispensed with the wall A/C about 27 days too early.

Well, I'm still damp and my throat is still sore, but I'm home from the Quebec game. Beautiful city, lots of fans, and I even made some new friends. Also: of all the CPL away games I've seen in person, I've yet to see the Wanderers win a single one! Maybe next time.

This weekend is going to be so cool. I always enjoy traveling for a road game, but this is a different vibe. It’s unique, and important, and it’s a team effort. #CPLonTour

Possible showers in Québec City for the CPL game, huh? Well, it won’t be the first time I’ve cheered the Wanderers in the rain!

I’m still dancing on clouds after that game. We looked great, we played as a team, we never lost focus. And now, on to the next game! We couldn’t have hit this position at a better time, because there is no way we’re going to take our foot off the gas in Quebec… (but, of course, neither will York)

What day is it?

In non-soccer news: I went to see Thunderbolts last night, and the projector broke down after an hour. I accepted the theatre’s apology (and comp tickets), but… man, I just don’t care enough about that movie to want to finish it.

Hah, I just realized -- had Mark Noonan stayed with the league for another two months, he would have qualified as a domestic Canadian under his own roster rules! So close!

Not only is he staying on as an adviser, but he’s declining to stay on long enough to get free World Cup tickets. Instead, he’s making room for a new commissioner to take the stage in 2026. To me, that indicates his departure was fairly copacetic.

There are still seats available!

Last night was a pretty good night for fans of Daniel Nimick and Zachary Fernandez! (and their respective teams, and the league in general)
