OKC did a 2025 Mets game vs the Dodgers

I mean he often kills us, but that one wasn't him.
comment in response to

Nah he's very purposely trying to be a power hitter. It's not just how he's being pitched to.
comment in response to

His attempted transition away from an on base guy into a power hitter is absolutely baffling. He got rid of an elite skill and exchanged it for an average at best skill.

He hates me personally and wanted to hurt me, is what he did

The last 3 years of Nimmo's contract are gonna be *brutal*

They should also tell them about how runners can move to the next base even if the batter doesn't get a hit

Mets have horribly blown this game. The odds that Butto gets through the 10th unscathed approaches 0.
comment in response to

The thing is after they take the lead they're allowed to keep scoring. Somebody should let them know this.

I'll be honest, I was less than confident of getting out of that. Won't make that mistake any more with Garrett on the mound.

424 and like 113, give or take

Times like this I say to myself "sure would have been nice to score Lindor from 2nd with 0 outs and the 2-4 hitters up!"

Feels like the official distance shorted him like 30 feet

I try not to be old man baseball guy, but the way they handle starting pitching today is absolutely crazy. First start back, wanting to get him out on a good note, I get it. But 5 2 hit innings on like 75 pitches.

Getting difficult to justify not having at least a 60/40 split for Torrens

Why does the case being dismissed make her undocumented?

I think maybe what makes people think this is that maybe things are worse than what they should reasonably expect they could be? And that's accounts for why they think it's so bad in their mind. Or maybe I'm just being generous

Sports is still comparatively weak here, but good enough for me to leave Twitter

This extra innings offense is the single worst offensive performance I've ever seen in my life.

I was screaming for them to walk him. Then remembered Ohtani was up next, paused, and resumed screaming to walk him.

He certainly should be. Has absolutely no pop on his bat.

It's amazing how almost nobody even knows what a bill of attainder is because it's basically never been attempted in 250 years

We really need an update every time Portnoy has an opinion on Trump?

Yeah it's the centuries old militaristic culture plus the belief I'm a fairly quick and easy victory

I mean they ruined the entire point of the movie. The people on the front line were so meaningless that we don't even know what happened to them. "All quiet on the Western front" was a response to a day where the main character was killed. Great visual of WW1, bad adaptation of the book

I'll never forgive the Mets for letting Flores walk. It made no sense. Every year he's been gone he's better than somebody in the lineup.

I don't hate quarterback sneaks. I hate when the quarterback is thrown into the endzone against his will
comment in response to

OK cool. So then 50% of them should be illegal and the other 50% are just QB sneaks. Glad we went through this.
comment in response to

This is so dumb. What's so hard about "the ball carrier must not be intentionally pushed forward by his own teammate"?
comment in response to

I'm kind of agnostic about him getting reinstated after he's dead but I'm extremely against it happening because Trump bullied them into it
comment in response to

Any reason that was recently in the news that Trump would want to do something to make one of those countries happy? I can't think of anything!

Dude what the hell are you talking about. This isn't even close to correct. Bribery is one kind is corruption. It's not that only kind of corruption. Receiving a $400 million gift is *obviously* corrupt.

So all he has to do is buy the plane from GSA and it's all square

After giving up 20 through 6, they only gave up 1 the last 3.

I wonder what Jonathan thinks may challenge it for biggest foreign gift ever

He probably could have just not done it then? Considering there's no real science about the 100 pitch limit and all

My kingdom for a Soto clutch hit with runners in scoring position while we're losing

I don't pay very close attention to British politics. When in the world did this happen?? They weren't always this bad, right? Or did I just never see it because I wasn't watching closely?

Lol people got pissed at Lincoln when he did it during the civil war, I'm sure this would go well

For most things I agree. I think this tariff thing is the only policy he actually believes in though because the people who love him certainly aren't loving him more for this. And he's been talking about it since the '80s. I really think this one can be completely explained with stupidity.
comment in response to
post
I agree. I attribute the tariff nonsense 100% to the fact that he doesn't understand what a trade deficit is or why it's happening. I legit think that he thinks he's doing a good thing for the country as a whole.

It's insane to me some people don't realize this. He's an evil man but he's dumber than he is evil.

I would immediately appeal that sentence. Did you see the judge's reaction? He was genuinely moved by it. There's no way fake statements from a computer victim can be allowed

Feels like "people are dying because of policies they're purposely enacting" might resonate with people, and I don't care whether they fully intend for them to die or not. I don't know what part of that isn't engaging with what you said.
comment in response to

But hey at least you could be a complete cocksmooch about it. Thanks for this interaction.
comment in response to

They're killing people. I don't care if they want them to die or not. They know it's happening, they're monsters. It's functionally equivalent.
comment in response to

Whether they truly in their heart of hearts want all this or not, what's the functional difference?

No I'm not talking morally at all. What do you think would happen to our economy if you instantly reduced the income of 12% of the population (50% in some regions) to 0 and put downward pressure on everybody else's wages?
