I was just thinking today about what the best new do-all car would be for an enthusiast. I like the CX-50 hybrid but I'm put off by the torsion beam rear. A PHEV Rav4 with some sportier suspension and steering bits sounds like it could be great.

For a while they were the best at EV things, longest ranges, fastest charging, etc., but that advantage is largely gone now as other brands have caught up, and what you're left with is a shoddily built vehicle with tanking resale value from a company run by the most insufferable man in the world
