Part of the problem is that the AI answer comes up first when you google something (that’s what’s in the screenshot) and there’s no way to opt out of it. A lot of people aren’t even realizing that those answers are AI generated.

Probably! I realized my mistake and yelled back to him and he said he’d just save my warm wishes for Father’s Day 😅

Like I really wanted a photo to show my hairdresser, but all the AI haircuts are unrealistic. Hair doesn’t behave that way!

Right? At first I thought maybe it had to do with today’s theme (which would kinda fit!) but then I remember I’ve had this complaint before.

Some just see grad school as checking the box for a requirement (my state mandates teachers have a masters) and don’t even care about learning 😩

So true!! Thankfully there were a lot of people calling out how problematic Hart & Risley (1995) was, but the author kept justifying her post saying, no this is a new study (Logan, 2019)!! Thankfully she was very receptive when some of us pointed out critiques of that study as well.

I remember being so burnt out that I when I saw a friend was in the hospital for a very minor surgery, I thought to myself “a few days in the hospital sounds good right now”. That’s when I knew I needed help 😩

Where are we as a society that soulless chat bots are more compassionate that some doctors?? Coupled with the fact that they’re seen as a more reliable source for medical information?!! 😬

Usually when I’m on the couch relaxing with my partner remembering how I used to not be able to do that without a huge amount of guilt

I love that! My policy all semester long is that deadlines are just suggestions, but they’ll still send me doctors notes that I don’t ask for 😩

It’s annoying for sure. I try to search alt text requests when I have time and add some. You can also use the hashtag #alt4me when requesting. Volunteers often search that tag to help add alt text
