I don't believe for an instant that she would have stopped Israel.I do,however, believe she would not have alienated our allies, would have at least attempted to return to the diplomatic solution with Iran that was previously in place, and never got to the point that bombing Iran was even an option

*blinks* ...but they're allies though? Like, with each other...

Yes, that was my thought. It's that added to the fact that they are so stupid they still think HIV/AIDS is a 'gay' disease in 2025

I am now convinced that Republicans believe their anti healthcare tripe sincerely. And they believe it because that's what they would do with it. It's just an endless font of projection with them

I never blamed anyone for anything. You are the one who decided that was what was happening.I stated that Boomers have not had a good public face for almost 20 years.I then expressed *relief* that there are good ones out there still. You decided that was a personal indictment for no apparent reason

We are sandwich generation. We are raising our kids and providing care for aging parents. We are vastly outnumbered by the generations before and after us.We've been shown for decades that we don't matter. My biggest impact?Raising 2 GenZ's who didn't need to be told what is happening is wrong

Both of my parents are gone now. My dad was a building manager in NYC and despised Trump. He refused to work for them. My mom despised everything he stood for. Part of me is grateful. I don't think they would have fallen for the cult, but no one else in my generation did either. I won't find out

What did I do? I voted in every election since the 2nd Clinton administration and wrote my congressmen. I opposed the Patriot Act and was shouted down by everyone, first as un-American, then bluntly as a traitor. I watched the Tea Party in stupid hats burn the POTUS in effigy

Were you addressing me? This ball has been rolling since at least Reagan, possibly since Nixon. I was 4 when Reagan took office, and Nixon resigned before I was born. People lost their f*cking minds on 9/11 and turbo boosted the erosion of freedoms and supports. 1/

Friend, your generation has been letting the ones who made excuses for the Ohio National Guard at Kent State speak loudly for the whole generation since at least the Tea Party movement. As a GenX kid of Boomer hippies, this picture is such a relief. I thought we had lost all of you to Fox

They definitely knew, even before they knew the details they knew it was bad. They understood the concept of 'bad air' well before they knew what made it 'bad' (germs, exhaust, particulates, etc.)

This breaks my heart and enrages me in equal measure. I have clients who are Afghani and Iraqi special immigrants. Even if you believe in even greater restrictions on immigration, they have certainly earned their status

Have they checked the lists of 'deportees'? He is very brown and has a Spanish name. Doesn't that automatically equate to 'illegal' under this regime?

That's what I was thinking. Not marching in step? They aren't 'marching' at all. Some of them look like they are shuffling to the bathroom in the middle of the night 😂

It makes perfect sense. Anti-abortion wingnuts were never worried about babies. It's never been about children. It has always been about who is the arbiter of the choice how and when and whether to have them and with whom. It's about control

I understand that. And I agree they aren't to be used this way. But what I am saying is if they voted for Il Douche, they absolutely voted for exactly this. To me, this is just the military example of MAGAs getting what they voted for and being shocked when they get it
comment in response to post
But no. These are not separate things. If a candidate says they will do something, and then they do it, you voted for that. I also cannot be political at (local govt.) work, but this regime sure as hell impacts my job even though I vote as a private citizen, not a county employee

Kent State and Vietnam War protests in general were not Silent Gen. They were Baby Boomers. It's what makes Boomer Trumpism so frustrating
comment in response to post
It has been. Specifically from alt gov groups quoting CSNY lyrics about tin soldiers. Commenters have posted that exact image, and others have substituted their own updated lyrics. Pay better attention

Not lazy. Greedy. The large plantation owners were never going to do the work themselves. They didn't want to lose money. Also stupid. The small timers and poor whites went and died for people who would have enslaved them too if they'd had the chance

I have said this about people in Pueblo, CO (and southward). They didn't cross the border; the border crossed them. Descendants of families who have been here 400 years

Good gravy the comments here! Can we stop infantilizing members of the armed forces? 'They're just kids. They might get in trouble!' So are the people being targeted in a lot of cases. Everyone is faced with a choice to stand with unarmed protesters or with the military force threatening them
comment in response to post
Haven't they been denying that part matters all along? They only ever quote the second half, and cry if you bring up the first part

Aw. The chickenshit blocked me
comment in response to post
Nope. The point was that people who are 18-22 have always had these choices before them, and some died for it even when that isn't what they signed up for. We all have the choice to engage in passive resistance or engage in gunning down resisters
comment in response to post
Oh, honey...my life is on the line under this regime just by existing, but I still do more than that. Also--and this may come as a shock--they literally signed a contract to put their lives on the line fighting for their country. Are they only brave when there's guns and glory involved?

Yes. 'I'm sure you realize' resistance means you get in trouble sometimes.

That's high. According to the CDC there are over 3.5 million live births/yr. That is not counting miscarriages, abortions, still births, etc. which add an estimated 2 million more. Take 12% of 5.5 million. Regardless, women have already died due to lack of abortion access
