Hyper-capitalist nonsense.
When City and Chelseaās players are exhausted come the second half of the season - not to mention most of our Champions League rivals - because theyāve all been playing a pointless summer tournament in sweltering heat, then weāll see whether itās been worth it.

For every one of these elite matches impacted by extreme weather, there are 1000's around the world who get the heat and flooding, but never see a $ of the fossil fuel profits š¬
FIFA's entire vision is 'globalising the game', but pushing oil amidst climate breakdown cuts many off from football ā½

What I donāt understand is how FIFA officials, particularly technical observers, can watch *supremely fit athletes* struggle in this heat whilst failing to make the connection between climate and football.
Itās genuinely obscene how FIFA treats footballers, not to mention fans.

We can only hope the young Academy lad, Amara Nallo breaks into the first team, just so the Kop can rework the Tony Christie classic.

Multi-club investments, ownerships, call it what you will, will ultimately kill what remains of footballās sporting integrity and competitive balance.
As we see in the rest of society, the concentration of economic and political power in fewer and fewer hands never ends well.

I *love* Oasis but my word, an entire workshop could be organised around the crushing burden of expectation created by this over-production and hyper-commodification of 90s nostalgia.

āMust have panickedā.
Aye, the type of panic you get when you wilfully tailgate an ambulance through a crowd of people while pissed and coked up. That āpanicā.
