Not something I'd normally notice nor do I know enough about the UK market to fully understand dynamic but what I do know is my fav fillet steak has gone up by more than £2 in the last 6 weeks.

I managed the full list this year... and it has to be Elizabeth Strout for me... nothing else made me *feel* quite as much.

4 of 6 for me, Fundamentally was already on the TBR list, adding The Persians now. Hard to beat Elizabeth Strout for me, devoured in one glorious sitting.

Obvs mega busy with your ribbon game today, so I've taken my own pic! Those spredges might even be enough to persuade me to stack this spine in. 😁 Also very excited to pick up the new Emma Donoghue.

Thanks, Michael. I'm a bit terrible at finding time for non-fiction as there are so many great novels & so few years left, but I'll add that to the list! In stock?

Respect for that sister's moxy! I got rumbled when a Terry's Chocolate Orange collapsed as it has been reduced to half its slices! And ps. what kind of peculiar Irish Catholic parenting sees a stack of Easter eggs decorating the dresser for weeeeeeeks of Lent!?

And the deep plunge into withdrawal via the 'giving up sweets' rule for Lent! Explains the year my mother discovered all the Easter eggs accumulated in the house were minus their backsides! Left half an egg holding up the wrapper in them all 🤪

Lovely! My mother text me earlier reminiscing about how this was my favorite day of the year as a child. Any wonder when it was an excuse to eat 27 teaspoons of granulated sugar!

My first niece or nephew will arrive this summer, and I've been so surprised to discover just how much anticipatory joy I feel! Just picking picture books, my gift on announcement, was a new happiness. Lovely to see others share that joy. 😍
