Conclave Robert Harris plus just did a pre order of Fredrik Backman new one and used my points to get Anthony Horowitz new one, got to love @bertsbooks.bsky.social
The Tiger and the Wolf by Adrian Tchaikovsky. I’m enjoying it so far, but it has been relentlessly gloomy, which doesn’t really fit with the lovely sunshine outside!
All The Colours of the Dark by Chris Whitaker.
Just about to start this one. Loved We Begin at the End, hoping this is equally good #books #blueskybooks
Update! Now exploring the dark side of wanting to be someone else in Ripley alongside the compelling journey of a unique teen deciphering secrets in #LanguageOfTheBirds. Different stakes, but both showcase the power of intellect and the pull of the unknown.
Hoping to finish two great reads this weekend: You Can't Stay by S.T. Ashman and Sharp Objects by Gillian Flynn—both packed with tension and written by phenomenal female authors.
Just finished Inconstant Moon by Larry Niven. Excellent old school sci-fi short stories, apart - from one very homophobic story. Now reading The Bees by Laline Paull. Very good and quirky so far.
"Karla's Choice" by @harkaway.bsky.social . A very worthy addition to his dad's Smiley chronicles. I've been working my way through them in chronological order, and it slots right in, exceptional work.
Finished The Swell & just started The Persians, second to last outstanding on @womensprize.bsky.social for me. Made all the more pleasant by the weather! #BookSky
Candid and moving. It’s a great book for reflective introspection.
I like the argument that mental illness can be a complex interplay of biological, psychological and social factors. This includes genetic predisposition and adverse life experiences.

Beautifully written but also at times an uncomfortable read.
Not sure about my physical (bedtime) book - possibly Susanna Walker's The Hard Way.
