Thecommies were smarter. They “Nationalised” the businesses… so they got something in return for the money. The “Art of the Deal” here seems to be simply giving money away 🤔

Yup. If you were Australia… who would you trust? … not only to deliver a quality product on time and on budget (when did the UK ever manage that?) but that will be fully supported should a conflict ever break out!!

Who, in their right minds, and knowing how the supply-demand cycle works, does not believe that as soon as pressure on pricing from overseas competitors is removed, and demand for US-built increases…, domestic manufacturers are not going to take advantage by increasing their margins 🤔.

We thought Musk was taking over the US Govt. Musk is just a distraction. It is Rupert Murdoch… Murdoch has now successfully placed many, many former Fox hosts, representatives, show-runners etc into positions of Authority… Count them!……….

Such surcharges are unknown across Europe… and while there are definitely costs to running card transactions, millions have been saved in cash transportation /protection costs. For a while in Sth Korea there was a cash incentive to use card rather than cash to reduce black market cash transactions

Really used to enjoy Ben and Michael on YouTube… sane voices in an increasingly mad world… but it seems monetising has driven clips to longer and longer lengths with the usual commercial hooks, repetitions and embedded ads.

Just drives me even further away from the “professional political class” that is propagated through the “intern” system of the two (and a bit) major parties… and more toward passionate independents
