I’m so tired of this rhetoric that Isreal is defending itself when it has been the aggressor every. Single. Fucking. Time.

I'll give them props for the huge time jump they did midway through the show. It actually gave them a lot of potential... although they wasted it on yet more end-of-the-universe threats instead of fun adventures. Season 4 was especially excruciating.

I also realize Discovery always going for spectacle, explosions and quips when it isn't trying to make you cry for hundredth time per episode made me numb to it. I couldn't care less for any of it. It really was the Marvelification of Star Trek.

I wish it focused way more on the adventures and the side characters more often. Thankfully SNW is doing that a lot better (and even if I have my issues with it it does Trek a lot better than five seasons of DIS).

One day I read somewhere an opinion that said something along the lines that one of DIS' problems was the way it never became an ensemble show. It was always about Michael and a handful of characters. Once I realized I couldn't unsee it.

Back when it started it was my first ST show after seeing the Abrams movies. I thought it was a fun show. After a few years and some Trek knowledge gained over watching TOS, TNG and some of DS9... I'm sorry but this is really bland, overproduced and way too emotional for my liking.

A certain character also gets called something similar to "Golden God" and I couldn't stop picturing Dennis in the role.

Mythic Quest may have its ups and downs but it had happy lesbians, queer friendly narratives and of course it was barely advertised and they canceled it.

Anyway Ritchie and Sydney innocent, this would be unBEARable without Ebon Moss-Bachrach and Ayo Edebiri. I love that they are getting so much work thanks to the success of the show, they are stellar.

It would be really nice if they could stop trying to make me feel bad about Jamie Lee Curtis but her character is such a fucking idiot (just like the zionist actress she's portrayed by) it makes me so mad. I don't need a whole episode with her!! I swear they took the weirdest decisions this season.

They also really want me to care the asshole, broken, abusive mess of a MC having a thing for a manic pixie dream girl in a hospital but I've never felt invested for them a single second. What the fuck are they doing.

It would be nice if they addressed how the titular Bear is part of the problem of enabling gentrification through "exclusive" restaurants but guess we're still doing "chef culture is so cool when you're not an asshole". Look how cool they are saying "Yes Chef", they don't look like a cult at all huh
