Is that Dr. Halo? The first time I ever saw and used a mouse was with that program.

I totally get it, though. Linux is the One True Operating System, followed closely by AmigaOS and other open source unixen. Apple is evil. Etc :)

But .. the screens are good. I miss MacOS X, though.

It's massive theft. Like what happened to Russia in the 90s. All of our national assets are being stolen, leaving the public with no assets, and no constitutional republic. That is the goal, unless they are stopped.

I have been slowly figuring out the internals of my non-working 520st. This looks helpful!

Legacy of the Wizard is an underrated gem of a game. Super hard to finish, though.

I like this! Dreamy, dark, original vibe.

Slackware was my jam in the 90s. But manually compiling dependencies gets old.

I suspect a good way to make money from "vibe coding" is to ignore it completely and make real products instead, as "vibe coding" is a pure enshittification machine.

Nice Atari ST. My dad had that shirt. I like how the printer is precariously stacked amongst random crap.

Well, yeah. Republicans are the whiny little bitch party. That is one of their defining characteristics nowdays.

Btw. you can get a program called "cp437" that will convert the CP437 style BitchX ANSI into modern Utf8. I think if you run BitchX in it, it might make the characters show up correctly. github.com/keaston/cp437 Or you can use my program Durdraw to load old ANSI files and have it convert them. :)

Kids these days don't know. Perl was the main alternative to C in the 90s. I worked on "legacy" Perl code all through the 2000s, and I never liked it.

I hope I never need this for my SE. But still.. I need this.

HPE has a large presence in Southeast Texas, amongst the remains of Compaq. Lots of Trump voters in those parts. What a shame.

I love my own software project (Durdraw), because I have been able to fix most of the things about it that annoyed me. MS-DOS gets the love, too.

Principal Victoria's words in South Park come to mind. "Cancer doesn't play by the rules, and neither can you." "You must be willing to risk everything, because the cancer will take everything." The useless possum show from the Democrats is not helping.

Disagree. Trump is clearly a white supremacist. He is happy to use non-white people who kiss his ass for propaganda purposes, as did Hitler.

Castle Adventure.. literally the first video game I ever remember playing. I wonder what ever happened to Kevin Bales.

I was thinking more along the lines of, "Brodie is judging your operating system"

Aw. Thank you so much. :) It's true.. every time I've asked an LLM to draw ASCII art, it's been a disaster.

wooh, cool. Sweet art! I like the bee, dragon and tower. I also like how you have the ascii art side by side with the site content. It looks good.

Me too! That's why I made an ascii art editor for drawing by hand. :) github.com/cmang/durdraw/

Sweet! I appreciate that. Command Line Crisis sounds pretty interesting. I hope Durdraw works for your needs. :)

Oh, don’t forget. The ASCII for ShiftOut, as you know, is 14.
Therefore the full sequence of ASCII to type capital letter X is “14+88.”

Look at those crisp rectangular pixels. The white on black "Wait," looking all early-80s Apple. I am jealous.
